It was a false awakening. A dream within a dream isn't (to my knowledge at the moment) possible, because if you fell asleep in a dream you wouldn't dream you were dreaming, the landscape would simply change or something when you close your eyes. What you had was very common, it happens to a lot of people. One way you can catch yourself from making the mistake of being fooled you're awake, is to reality check every time you wake up from a dream. I myself have never had a false awakening, but it's become a habit of mine to do a simple hand/nose check every time i wake up just in case. |
