      Smoking tobacco have ill effects on ability to have LD's?

      Just wondering if anyone out ther knows if tobacco use effetcs the ability of a person to have lucid dreams.
      Some people carry on, some just stay right where they are.

      I have never ever smoked yet i have difficulty getting lucid

      Most of the time when I do a WBTB, I will have a smoke or two during the time I'm up, and I've been able to LD somewhat frequently using this method, so my opinion is that it doesn't hurt. Or if it does have any effect, it must be a small one.

      Actually, the nicotine may help to keep your brain active, which may in turn be conducive to lucid dreaming -- though I'm certainly not recommending that anyone start smoking for this reason. You can certainly LD without it.

      I had my first LD's when I was still a smoker. I quit a few months ago and I'm still having LD's now. Can't say I've noticed any correlations...
