Always Waking Up On Dream Realization

Does anyone else have this problem where you wake up to real life the very moment you realize you are dreaming? So far, this has been my nemesis since I started trying to LD... any solutions?

Mental block? Sometimes people block themselves like that, just know it shouldn't happen and it will go away! Also, try to stabilize right as you are doing a RC/becoming lucid. Or the other option, DEILD back into the dream.

When I realized I was dreaming the first time, I didn't get excited at all, but I don't ever get excited with most things. Are you excited when you realize? Try MILDs, those might help.

I can't say I wasn't excited... everytime the realization comes, it feels like a shot to my heart (physical sensation) and then wide awake... have been repeating mantras as I sleep with little effect. But perhaps I am still too new... need to let the novelty wear off a little and maybe I'll do better... thanks!
