      WBTB Waiting Thread

Well, I don't think anyone has done this before so, how about this is a thread to talk about whatever while we're waiting to WBTB.

I haven't been around the forums much, but I haven't given up on lucid dreaming. Still haven't achieved it, but I'm still trying. Getting stressed out about it wouldn't help me.

So who else is WBTB soon?

I'm going now, wish me luck.

Yea. That happens to me. Well, I actually guess I technically LDed. I was on dreamviews, and I knew I was dreaming, then nothing, I don't remember anything else.

      Wake Back To Bed..

You wake up at a particular time, (Dependent on the particular person) but usually at 5am at night.. Where REM periods are most active/longest (or something similar).

Stay awake from 5-60 mins and go back to sleep and try to do any method you want: WILD, DILD, MILD etc.

It works well because your in the middle of your REM periods..

Nice. I'll be trying WBTB this weekend hopefully. I would do it on weekdays, but I always get to bed too late.

Im not doing a wbtb but im trying out something for another DV memember. Im staying up till around 4:30am or untill i cant stay awake anymore and do some mild affirmations. What happened to the other dv member when he did this was that he went into a chain of lucid dreams and false awakenings. So he wants people to try and see how sleep deprivation affects lucid dreaming. Sorry for posting on here because this has nothing to do with wbtb, im just bored lol.

Nah. That's fine, this thread can be used for that as well. As long as people aren't just spamming this thread, it's fine. I'm about to wbtb soon. I noticed you live in the Bay Area. That's pretty cool. I'm in Livermore. Where are you in the Bay Area. And no, I'm not trying to creep on you.

      EDIT:

Stayed up until about 4:45. Then I layed in bed. After a while, using a counting method, a scene started to form, but I concentrated on LDing instead of falling asleep, and I did not enter my dream. I need to start doing FAs, because I had a very obvious one, but didn't realize it. Does anyone know if I was close to lucidity?

Haha. LDing drunk. That's interesting. I think it'd be a bit hard to concentrate, but hell, if it works it works. I'm planning on WBTBing this coming morning, so I'll probably be on here in the next 6 or 7 hours. Hopefully it will also be a successful LD.

Isn't looking at a computer screen bad if you're attempting to do a WBTB? I'm pretty sure it stimulates your mind or something, and isn't that the opposite of what the object of a WBTB is?

Eh. Idk. I still fell asleep and didn't LD. So I don't think it bothered me. Tomorrow I'll try it without posting in here and see what happens. I need to figure out something that works for me. I would really like to LD soon.
