      Dream Reentry question

Last night I was having a really awesome dream, and I woke up before I wanted to. I shifted a little in bed before remember not to, but eventually I tried to remain still and go back into a dream. I did. Kinda.

I went back into the dream, but not where I'd left off. I went back in kinda at the beginning, I guess? Like if my dream was a movie, it'd rewound itself in the few moments I'd been awake. Not to mention I was completely non-lucid.

Is this normal? I mean the dream rewinding part, not the lack of lucidity. But on top of that, how do you remain lucid when doing dream reentry? When you DEILD, do you pass directly from awake to lucid dreaming, sorta like in WILD?

      Thanks for the help, guys.

It is normal, don't worry. Also, what I try to do is, instead of not moving, try to keep my eyes closed, that makes me feel like the dream is in reach and it is much easier to DEILD that way.

Sorry for the double post, I have another quick question about DEILDing. I was going to plan on setting an alarm that shuts itself off after a few seconds (much like CANWILD) but I don't know when would be the best time to set the alarm for... Do I want to interrupt REM? Even then, how long after I fall asleep should I set the alarm for?

Hm, that depends from person to person, the general is 4-5 hours though. I find it much easier to just use the natural wake ups through the night though <.<

Natural wake ups sound a lot more pleasant than having an alarm scare the crap out of me, I just don't trust myself to wake up properly. I may have to try some autosuggestion. Thanks for the advice.
