What can you imagine?

Hey everyone, I was just wonding when your in a LD what is it that you try and do? Do you have a specific thing that you continuously enjoy doing/seeing? One thing that have been trying to do of late is move things. Large things. Such as buildings or from the dream I had yesterday, control the motion of the clouds. Sorry if this has already been posted, but I am new and am just wondering what you guys think.

i've only had a few but in 3 of the ones i've had i kinda played god. you know smiting people who did bad stuff in their lifetime. then resurecting them and smiting them again. -- i've only done a little flying, not much. but i hear thats a good one if you run out of people to smite.

Most of the time I dont have GOD mode on, so I am low level lucid, so I practice magic and basically force powers (will) also changing into my dragon form and flying like that =)

It is fun to walk through or push my hands through solid objects. One of my current projects is developing a systematic approach where one can learn to modify his/her dream form. It's kind of a fun project and I hope to be posting a guide on it soon. Another project of mine is to meet someone from this forum in a dream, exchange information, and verify it here the next day when we are awake.

I like story dreams, any genre. I like to be main character and so on with plenty of twists and action. I usually always go low level lucidity right off in a story-like dream and try to antagonize and make it more fantasy and interesting. Plus th dreams are usually longer or seem to be so. I used to be into flying, but lately it doesn't occur to me.

I haven't had any that I've remembered but I want to try and create a perpetual motion machine in my dream! Either that or jump in a giant game of Mario Brothers.

Do most of you guys have long dreams? For my they only seem to last about 5-10 mins. Which barely gives my any time to do anything. Also, I tend to get very excited at times and that causes me to wake up.

im the same way kakoroto...sucks deosnt it? jus practice at staying calm...try not to get too excited...try the spinning technique to stay in the dream longer, tho that usually only helps me stay in for a few seconds longer...if i ever manage to stay in a dream long enough, i want to try and start a war...try to take over the world, only dont use special dream-powers...that'd be good fun/practice ^^

Flying is tight in my dreams. ON the whole, I'm an Aasire mage, who can sprout wings at the thought. I'm kindof half cat, half hawk, half human......wait, half half half, ok you get the picture. Anyhow, I can manipulate gravity. Its my alternative to being strong. I can touch and object, and instantly change it to where it seems to weigh nothing. Hence I can throw and wield it with ease. Which is cooler than being really strong. Plus I love having wings instead of plain flying. It gives a cooler effect. and allows for a presence to be had. And yes ssj3kakoroto it is possible to have long dreams. albeit its not always the greatest idea. Dreams that are Too long can be disorientating. But yeah, that what I usually do, wield two swords and other misc weapons. and fly and fight wars and things

A while ago I thought it'd be interesting to try and convince characters in my dream that.. they were in my dream. One of the funniest stories was pretending I was God to these characters and saying, "Watch, I'll prove I'm a God in this dream" and I made someone shoot me in the neck, then I healed myself instanteously. The man just blinked and said, "Uhm.. you're on crack" so I said, "Ok.. well you only have one leg, haha!" and he hopped around, "What the hell?! This is impossible!" etc. etc. I can speel about it, but you get the idea, it's hillarious. Another thing I find interesting to do is delayed lucidity. Allowing your subconscious to portray normal dreams and see where you are in life and then intervening with lucidty can make for very interesting situations. Where if you were having a bad time in life and dreamed about forces cornering in on you and then suddenly.. BAMO you're an adult dragon with the power of the cosmo's. This method is good for those of you who feeling down in life and need some positive motivation. Just remember you can't stab your problems away. Those are some.. mixing movies together is always interesting. LoTR mixed with Rifts (an rpg I play made by Palladium Books) made for an interesting dream. Medieval castles and knights vs. advanced technology and weaponry (with the occasional mage of course). I have to say my favorite though is trying to convince dream characters they're in your dream, hehe. Endless possiblities. I love dreaming..
