      Questions about Lucid Dreaming

First I am going to say some background info, questions are at the bottom if the post if you don't feel like reading.

I started trying to lucid dream 3 days ago, and have started a Dream Journal. First night I only remembered one dream, but then the second night it sky rocketed to seven! Not sure if it was seven or if some of them were actually just one dream, but they were all something different. I felt that my dream recall was good enough so I decided to move onto actual lucid dreaming.

The second night I didn't remember having a dream unfortunately. After waking up around 6 AM I still really wanted to LD, so I decided to try to WILD, seeing how I was asleep for 5 hours and it is easier to do when you have gotten 5-7 hours of sleep.

So I used the "1, I am dreaming. 2, I am dreaming, etc." method. I had trouble with my saliva though, I kept needing to swallow and my mouth was constantly becoming dry. After a while I had this amazing feeling of vibrations or something of the sort all over my body, my heart started to beat like crazy, so I tried hard to stay calm and keep counting, but I was afraid if I took too deep of a breath I would lose it. Unfortunately I uncontrollably swallowed and did lose it.

I kept going and soon got this feeling of spinning around, and then felt as if my bed was tipped over on its side. I kept swallowing though and just decided to give up as their was this very annoying itch in my eye from those crusty eye boogers. As I opened my eyes and tried move around I did feel pretty stiff, so I assume I got close..

However I did attempt again later, but eventually dozed off. It did lead to a semi-lucid dream, but I never got a hold of the dream and did anything.

      Questions:

      1. When is it okay to swallow while attempting a WILD?

      2. I didn't have any HH or HI while trying to WILD, just vibrations and a spinning sensation. Is that normal?

      3. If I get deep into WILD, when and how should I "enter my dream"?

I'm not an experienced WILD'er, but I'll try to answer your questions:

      1. It's ok pretty much all the time, I'd think. Just swallow and be done with it. If you're still in the early stages, you might want to consider changing the position of your head, to prevent drool from gathering in the back of your throat.

      2. It's quite normal.. Many people struggle to get these hallucinations, especially while starting out. It sounded like you got close though! :L

      3. When you get the hallucinations.. they will gradually become the dream, basically.

That being said.. I think WILD might be a hard technique to start out with. Have you considered trying some of the "easier" ones first?
Then again, that's just my opinion.

I am fair and square, loud and clear. Yet, you associate me with fear.
Laugh of joy, or shed a tear.. You'll find no mercy here!
Though I sound bad, you hold me dear. I'm your satisfaction's engineer!
      What am I?

After attempting WILD, I stopped and fell asleep where I did have a DILD, but didn't have any real control and a scene transition did break my lucidness. Have tried MILD without any luck yet, but I will continue to try it every night. I also guess I tried the WBTB, because thats when I did the WILD, and then the DILD happened.

Its just a WILD seems like such an amazing experience to me I guess
