      I believe there are certain brain wave patterns that are good for sleep, and others that are bad that can make sleeping a problem initially.
      Your brain switches between waves and patterns when you get into different stages of sleep I thought...

      Yes, alpha is a heavy relaxant, and delta will send you to sleep within minutes. I know gamma and beta are very anti sleep. Theta can really go either way for me at least, but usually relaxes me enough to induce sleeping.
