      Definition of Irony

      I've been lurking the forum for a while now, but I figured you guys would get a laugh out of this one.

      So I've had 5 lucid dreams total, and I started getting my dream recall up about a month and a half ago (up to 2 dreams a night now.) I recently read on a thread on here that forcing control wasn't good for your lucid dreams, as it makes them shorter and less vivid. It suggested taking a "magic pill," so your abilities are more believable. Well, I was in a lucid dream, and remembered this advice, so... after really taking in my dream surroundings, I decided to find a pill that would make me fly. Well, upon taking the pill, I choked on it, and promptly lost lucidity .

      Lol, I know. Do you have any advice to prevent this from happening in the future, or am I just going to have to try it again and hope it doesn't happen a second time?

      Just don't lose sight of the fact that nothing is real. Keep reality-checking, and don't let yourself get distracted by aaanything! Seriously, the smallest sidesteps can lead you down a path to non-lucidity. Example. The other night I realised I was dreaming because of a hand-rc. I was in the wild west at the time. I wanted to go do a task of the month or something, but I spotted a revolver on the ground. I thought it might be useful so I picked it up. Long story short, I spent the next ten minutes trying to put it together correctly, and totally forgot I was dreaming. It's a total goldfish attention-span thing. Bear that in mind.
