I've been lucid dreaming for a few weeks and have managed to attain lucidity three times. The limitless possibilities that are achievable in our dreams have opened a whole new world to me and I've started to talk to my friends about being lucid and dreaming in general. One friend in particular came to me and asked if i could help her with a problem she has, she told me of a dark male figure that appears regularly in her dreams and a reoccurring nightmare that happens almost every night. I assumed immediately the dark figure was a animus she told me he was sort of an ultimate partner if you like and is always there when she needs help. The nightmare however she described that this animus becomes severely sinister. The dark figure is constantly at her side it takes away everyone who tries to get close to her and drains away all the colour and makes it cold and lonely. She is powerless to stop him and she tries to kill her self but he always stops her this continues until she wakes up sweating and often crying. I'm no psychology major it's merely a interest of mine so I'm not entirely sure how i can help her. I know lucid dreaming can be used to combat nightmares but this seems pretty extreme to me. Please is there anyone here with some advance training in the area that has some advice for her and I? |
