Thread: Cooking Bear Meat Dream

Even people who don't particularly care for dreams seem entertained by this one, so I thought I'd share. Told in narrative form because that's how I decided to write it when I woke up.

Every year, a day comes along when bear meat must be cooked. This is a highly dangerous activity, though, because the cooking of bear meat attracts bears. Every year, at least 50 people die trying to carry out the task.

Father, myself, and two hardened bear cooking veterans were trying to prepare the meat quickly, yet expertly. The thing about cooking bear meat, though, is that you have to leave it to smoke over night. While you are destined to attract bears to your house, as long as you are in a home you'll be fine.

As we wrapped up and headed inside, one of the hardened bear cooking veterans told the story about the Tragic Year, when the bears killed over 2,500 people. As he began to tell the story, we heard suspicious sounds from outside. I peaked out the sliding glass door to look at the back porch, where the meat was being prepared. A giant lumbering figure was batting and knawing at a slab, and my dad, who was behind me watching, flipped the back porch light on. The bear ran off the deck, went to the living room windows, stood on his hind legs and pressed it's paws against the window. Dad then proceeded to go out to the back porch, grab a charcoal back, light the rim on fire and shook it in front of the bear going

"OooOooOo!"

The bear ran away groaning
