Thread: Who/what are you in your dreams mostly?. Please read!. I want to know.

I am allways myself, I didn't change/shapeshift in any dream, lucid or not.

It depends on the dream.

Usually though, I am someone similar to myself. For instance, I am me (my thoughts are mine) but my appearance is younger/older, my hair color is different, and/or I have a different name etc.

Other times, I’m me through and through.

I don't think I've ever been anything or anyone other than myself. I've never been the opposite sex and am curious as to how that would work.

I'm always myself, all the time, at least from waht I remember. Mostly in first-person too.

Funny, I've never had a dream of being someone else or in 3rd person (that I can recall, of course).

Well I'd say about 90 - 95% of my dreams I am myself, and the other one's I think I'm someone else, but it is so often and so normal for me I didn't believe it deserved my vote. I voted for "someone you know" because I think it's a little more unusual for me, and it does happen frequently. Even in dreams that I'm being chased by someone, it isn't uncommon for the person who's chasing me to turn out being someone I know.

My dreams are almost always from a third person view, but I'll shift in and out to first person every now and then.

Now-a-days, I tend to dream I'm myself. Up until about 2 years ago, I almost always dreamed I was some other person I didn't know in real life, and I was usually of the opposite sex.

I've also dreamed of being animals, bugs, a car, a planet, and I frequently dream in what I call "god-mode". In god-mode, it's like I'm playing Civilization or SimCity and I create the planet, rivers (etc) and the people and their societies.

I'm usually me, but compared to others, I seem to have a disproportionate number of dreams in the third-person.
