Thread: Who/what are you in your dreams mostly?. Please read!. I want to know.

For a long time i was myself but i always watched in 3rd person view, but now im always myself as i normally view. Gotta blame video games for the 3rd person earlier xD

More often than not, I am myself in the first-person view. Sometimes I will dream in the third person, but it's more often that I dream that I am someone else in the first person. I will also, much more rarely, dream that I am an animal in the first person.

Most of the times, I will be myself, mirrors confirm it, though I has been the opposite gender and other things, but don't think they count since it is so rare <.<

Im always myself, lots of dream though I change between the first person and 3rd person view.

Most often I am myself, but occasionally I am a completely random invented character

I never dream that I am another person, but I shapeshift. When I first started lucid dreaming a lot since I joined this website I go through phases.
My main form in lucid dreams is a desert nomad, all in white. Also Pan, minotaur, werecat, vampire, are my main forms. I also have become a six-armed, six-legged, six-horned centaur, a dragon, a gargoyle, a rubber ball, a unicorn, a bull, an android, a Green Lantern, a devil-man, an angel, a Dark Knight, a bloated six-legged two armed spider, an Ent, a merman, Kamapua'a (the Hawaiian pig-god, also a shapeshifter), a samurai, a Fairy King, Peter Pan and Buddha.
In my non-lucids I am my normal self, unless I am in my Inner World, then I am often a white rabbit with a long tail like a cat.
Oh, and I became a girl a few times on purpose.

I am always myself in 1st person view. The only time I wasn't in first-person view was when I died in a dream, and didn't wake up...saw myself being buried. I remember being someone else only a few times, in which case I was still a guy. Never been a girl in any of my dreams.

I am allways myself, I didn't change/shapeshift in any dream, lucid or not.

It depends on the dream.

Usually though, I am someone similar to myself. For instance, I am me (my thoughts are mine) but my appearance is younger/older, my hair color is different, and/or I have a different name etc.

Other times, I’m me through and through.

I don't think I've ever been anything or anyone other than myself. I've never been the opposite sex and am curious as to how that would work.

I'm always myself, all the time, at least from waht I remember. Mostly in first-person too.

Funny, I've never had a dream of being someone else or in 3rd person (that I can recall, of course).

Well I'd say about 90 - 95% of my dreams I am myself, and the other one's I think I'm someone else, but it is so often and so normal for me I didn't believe it deserved my vote. I voted for "someone you know" because I think it's a little more unusual for me, and it does happen frequently. Even in dreams that I'm being chased by someone, it isn't uncommon for the person who's chasing me to turn out being someone I know.

My dreams are almost always from a third person view, but I'll shift in and out to first person every now and then.

Now-a-days, I tend to dream I'm myself. Up until about 2 years ago, I almost always dreamed I was some other person I didn't know in real life, and I was usually of the opposite sex.

I've also dreamed of being animals, bugs, a car, a planet, and I frequently dream in what I call "god-mode". In god-mode, it's like I'm playing Civilization or SimCity and I create the planet, rivers (etc) and the people and their societies.

I'm usually me, but compared to others, I seem to have a disproportionate number of dreams in the third-person.

i'm mostly myself.
sometimes i'm different versions of myself. my hair color/length changes a lot. a few times i was like, fifty pounds heavier.
sometimes i'm a made-up character.
every now and then, i'm an animal and communicate with other animals.

I'm usually myself.

But at the beginnings and endings of my dreams, I usually have no body. I am only observing the scenes before me. Sometimes, in my less vivid dreams, I never obtain my body at all, I am only an observer.


Bit hard to rub your hands together or plug your nose when you have no body . It's funny how it's gotten in the way for me so many times. I often realize I'm dreaming but then give up when I realize I have no body. It's hard for me to gain motivation to work hard mentally when I'm asleep.


Edit: perhaps I have some 3rd person too, but I think that's rare. Some dreams I may switch to third person at random moments for a short while.

Always me, or not existing in the dream at all (i.e. I am the camera). Always first person, I never see myself unless it's in a mirror.

Mostly I'm myself in dreams, but I have been someone I know in a few dreams, sort of looking at myself from anothers eyes kind of thing.

, he's an assassin called the night angel, i would spend many many dreams hunting for criminals punishing them for their injustices.

My dreams are like a mix of first person view and kinda like a movie setting. Quite cool to be in a movie every time XD and i usually dream of people i know and i made up of.
