For as long as I can remember, sleeping doesn't come very quickly. Every night I can guarantee that I will lay in my bed for 30 minutes to an hour before I finally sleep. It doesn't matter what I've done that day. The weird thing is is that several times a week I could almost pass out right in the middle of the day. I have to avoid sitting down otherwise I'd start sleeping. (I've tried to WILD during these periods but each attempt has ended within a minute or two.)
Does anyone know of anything that could help me fall asleep? I'm NOT looking for a sleeping pill that will keep me in lockdown for 8 hours. What I want is something I could do during the day or before I go to bed that will help me sleep.
Just as a side note: I've noticed that as the sky gets darker, my mind starts working harder. Thousands of thoughts run through my head when I'm trying to sleep and when I focus on counting or something, I hear the numbers going up. I hear "1...2...3..." but there's always something else there and if I focus on it, I hear myself think "I drank 5 glasses of milk" or "I watched 2 episodes of Family Guy today". Then each of those thoughts springs off to something else until I'm right back where I started. Does that make any sense, or am I just weird? O.o
Thanks for any help
