Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, Because the ground gives the way under him, And the dream begins... - Friedrich Nietzsche
i tried waking myself up 4 1/2 and 6 hours after i went to bed to see if i could wake up during my REM cycle.......nothing worked :[ its been 5 days and ive been trying to think of my dreams but my minds just really blank when i wake up |

so its been a little more than a week and i still cant remember anything :/ |

Have you been telling yourself that you will remember your dreams before you go to sleep? It sounds silly but that is actually VERY effective in helping dream recall. Remember to actually say it out loud. |

Current Goals: BETTER DREAM RECALL!!!
A lot of advice on the internet says to stay still in bed until you recall your dreams. This almost never works for me if I don't already remember my dream anyway. I have to get up out of bed and then a small memory from the dream or an event in real life will trigger the rest of my dream memories. Out of curiosity, when you are falling back asleep, do you remember your dreams at that point? If so, it's a sign that you should take whatever memories you do have and write them down. When is the last time that you have recalled a dream? If you recall any dream at all, it might help to write it in your journal. The act of writing a particular dream down could help. Once you have even one dream, you can try reading your DJ before bed. I find it helpful to read my most recent dreams before bed to get me in the mindset. I have broken a few recall dryspells that way. |

when i first started this, i was saying it out loud and i remembered my dreams very faintly, but they were still there, but idk why i thought it would be better to say it to myself in my mind....it didnt work as much lol so im gonna try saying it out loud again hopefully that works |
