what is the supposed connection of a collective unconscious to dreams? does anything from it, if we assume the expectation fulfillment is true, participate in dreams as a metaphor?
is it true no images in dreams are original, eg a face of a person is always someone i've seen?
if the expectation fulfillment theory is true, why do i occasionally have dreams about characters i don't recognize or compare to anyone i know interacting with each other and i'm not even in the dream? thanks.

Sure they could be someone you've seen before but i know are minds are capable of creating anything out of thin air.
for example alot of my lucid dreams iv had, i was no where near anything iv seen before.
