Recurring Dream Setting?
So have many people had dreams where they visit a place, that they've come back to in other dreams?
I don't really mean Disneyland, or your childhood home, or things like that. More along the lines of a different, yet memorable dream setting. I guess Lucid Crossroads could apply...
For example, the one that has had most prevalence in my own dreams, is this random Beachfront. It's a beach in the shape of a horseshoe, or a U, with tall cliffs that rise up from both sides, and nothing but endless ocean on the horizon. But this was a VERY distinct setting, as the beach and it's design is what stood out in my mind the most... even though the setting on the shore consistently changed. (Once it was Disneyland, and other times it was a 'beach community' with houses and people)
I was just curious if there were other people that visited recurring places in their dreams, that feels 'made up'

I never have, all of my dream settings are usually in places i know.
I guess some people would have recurring settings though, actually I'd quite like to find out if anyone does now as well.

recurring setting
yah i have i actually had one last night which prompted me to go online n research a little. I dont know what they mean but ive had a couple different settings that i always go back to. they are always long dreams but sometimes different things happen. The places I jump around to in these dreams are not places i have been to before but they are recurring in my dreams. I have one that is all sand on the ground and dark tall towers with elevators on the outskirts. The one I had last night was of me flying but I was flying over these houses and behind each house was a body of water. There are a few more places that i tend to come back to in my dreams I dont know what they mean but no you are not alone lol

I indeed have several recurring settings of dream places. I used to dream about a huge long abandoned barn with dry fields and a railroad track a lot. I now have a lot of dreams of a large gymnasium type space with metal girders in the ceiling. Sometimes it is filled with water. I believe I dream of the same cave system on a regular basis as well. Interestingly, my dream house I always awaken in after WILDs has many strange consistent features that my real house does not have.

I dream about strange places that I've never seen in real life, but I don't think I've come back to the same place more than once or twice, that I can recall.

I have recurring settings all the time. There's one that's always dark and dreary weather-wise, and I usually get there by driving for a long, long time. It's on an old, abandoned country road, and on one side there's a cliff. On the other there's a warehouse surrounded by forest, and on the other side of the forest is a playground. I usually have bad dreams there.

I've realized that there is a reoccurring factor. Not a specific setting, but a specific general location. I live in BC, Canada, and I occasionally have dreams in which I've somehow traveled south, to what seems in the dream map to be located in the southern US or Mexico. But in the dreams, the country boundaries don't even occur to me, the countries don't exist. The mental map I have is just of terrain, and it seems like that area is all dessert. Those dreams all have the same 'atmosphere' to them, but each has a unique storyline.

Iv often had recurring dream settings. Its really odd because it will be somewhere I know in waking life but in the dream it will be a lot different, I just have the feeling its the same place but whenever I return in dreams its always similar. Like in the dream it somehow has stability even though its different from waking life.
