I just had thee weirdest night of sleep in my life what happened???

Ok so last night I went to bed not that tired. And I was just laying there thinking about the day and plans and things like that.Pretty soon I found out that this was just one of those nights it takes awhile to fall asleep. Os my thoughts became abstract and I sorta came out of it and when I looked my alarm clock it was 3:00!!!!!And I had gone to bed at 9:00! What happened I had been aware that I was just laying there thee entire time!!!! So did I spend the entire night just laying there off in woohoo land?AkA-just laying there spacing out-

I've heard of this before, I think it's called the black hole effect or something. It was mentioned on Lucid Crossroads, I've had it once but mine was only a 2 hour skip, not exxactly sure what causes it either maybe you drifted in and out of sleep so gradualy you didnt notice.

I've had those nights too often. I don't like them because I feel like I don't get a full nights rest. Like you said, it's sometimes when I'm not very tired to begin with, but I think more often it's when I'm stressed or have a lot on my mind.

It has happened to me and what I've understood is that you actually
fell asleep, dreamt but your dream experience was wiped from your mind.

You can sleep program to investigate who is doing this to you like so:

Say this OUT LOUD before sleep:

"I WISH TO KNOW THE TRUTH: WHO IS WIPING MY DREAMS?"
Then go to sleep, your dream that night will show you who!
