I need to know what this is...

Sometimes when I go to sleep and I'm really tired. I'll lay in bed and just think about things. Most of the time I'll play out little scenes in my head. But sometimes, when I do that, I actually start to dream that. Except, I know I'm not asleep. I never went through sleep paralysis, but I can see all the imagery in my head just as if it was a dream. Most of the time, I'll do something in this sleepless dream that will cause me to jump and wake up. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If so, does anyone know what this is called? If I can figure out how to achieve this more often, I can probably try to turn it into a Lucid Dream technique.

I had this happen to me a very long time ago. I remember in my bed and thnking about neon color dancing houses...they danced sorta like your avatar. While thinking of this I went straight to a dream with the dancing houses. Im sure theres a name to this im just not to sure on what its called.

I have that happen alot. Actually, i've had that happen about once every night this week before I went to bed. I'm thinking of something, zoneing out, and all of a sudden I just get a sudden startle and jump. I don't actually dream about what I was thinking though, since i've had trouble remembering my dreams since the 24th of August. (and still counting. )

I have this happen to me on a regular basis as often as everyother morning, It also happens after I wake up from a dream it keeps playing while I'm awake and I can control it. Ithink this might just be classified as a day dream but I dunno
