Thread: Endless Dreams

Why are they not possible/possible? Anyone got some reasonable evidence?

Whats the longest dream (lucid preferably) that you've ever had?

Personally not all that long, maybe what seems like 20-30 minutes?

I think at the end of the the day time is just another frame of mind in LDs. Why is it we can manipulate everything but that? You can fly, use telekinesis, etc, etc could go on for days.. All things that are "impossible" in reality. Maybe certain individuals have problems doing specific tasks in a dream.. but at the end of the day they are still most defiantly possible.

Im sure there are people out there that have found a way to "ignore" time so to speak, and the reason we all cannot is probably because we are addressing it the wrong way.. Most likely just need to think outside the box, like everything else .

I will start playing around in the near future, im sure its not going to be easy or anything.. but I've never really actively put alot of effort into it, so who knows.

It is perplexing that we can manipulate so much, but not time. Perhaps that is because the dream is sensory. Time transcends the senses. Or at least, that is our schemata, inherited at birth.

Hmm, what if someone just tried to go back in time in a lucid? I would try but I don't have lucids frequently at all, I hardly remember my dreams. Just be like in the right state of mine. Think "I'm god, I can change time like this *snaps back to an earlier point in the dream*, it's as easy as that!"

I firmly believe this is possible, and I know I've heard of certain monks being able to do this. I'd like to try it, but it may be awhile before I can reach the point of turning my mind inside-out to the degree of having the right frame of mind to attempt it. I get the idea that our usual perception of time, it being a schemata as Abra said, blocks us from making the most of it in our dreams.

By altering our schemata, changing our thinking, our frame of mind, we may be able to accomplish it. We have to think not only outside the box, though, but outside the sphere that encloses the box as well. Outside of shapes in any form, restraint in any form. There is no box, no sphere. Only the dream. No 'what we can do,' only what we wish to do. Nothing is impossible in our dreams, but we have to teach our minds this for it to be true of our own dreams.
