      Senses Alive in Dreams?

We all know the classic phrase "Pinch me, I must be dreaming".

This is must mean that we are not supposed to feel pain in dreams... but I have. I dreamed I was being chased by my neighbors dog and was bit in the foot, and I actually remember feeling pain as it bit me.

I also get other sensations such as pleasure (you know ), smell and taste in my dreams. Now this may be all good, but what if my ability to feel these senses including pain ends up getting stronger. I might end up feeling even stronger pain in all my dreams.

      Anybody else feel these sensations?

I cant feel pain in dreams, just smell, taste and a stunted sense of feeling but I know that most other people do, my friend had a dream where he got stabbed through the stomach with a sword and then woke up and threw up.

I don't have any senses in dreams apart from sight as far as I can tell. Although once I could feel my own hand. I suppose anything can be as real as your brain can make it.

often i run into taste, or some pressure that results from something like a knife wound (it doesnt hurt, its just like a weird pushing pressure) and once i felt pain but i immediately awoke to find i had rolled on something. i was actually more worried about how my mind timed my dream just right to coincide with the pain, or maybe hid the pain until there was a part in the dream that was appropriate.
