      Red face Sleep Paralysis?

I'm not sure what this dream was really...It happened when I was I guess, 8 or 9. I walked out of my bedroom in the middle of the night, silently, into the hallway. I got to a certain spot, and I froze. Suddenly, I couldn't move. I didn't try to yell for help, but I remember being so distraught. I could remember tears pouring down my cheeks. I don't really know if this could be classified as a dream or not. I know it had to be my real house. In my dreams most things never look exactly like they should. But, my house was exactly like it should have been. It was almost like my mind was in a dream, but my body was in my house. It felt like I ws a ghost. I was there, but nobody noticed me. Was this sleep paralysis? Could it have been an OBE?

Hard to say. When you're that young, the changes of a still developing brain through all manner of wrenches into the works. An OBE is a very bold conclusion to jump to, to say the least.

Incubus nightmares, sleepwalking, this could be either of those, or some blurring of the two. I remember one night waking up and being very afraid. I was so fearful, that I physically could not move or speak, but I wanted so badly to call for my parents. (At least at the time it seemed it was my fear which had paralyzed me, but in retrospect, some function of sleep paralysis seems more likely.) To my great relief, I saw my mother walk into the room, but them she transformed into a frightening old woman, and dissappeared.

These things just happen at that age.

I once experienced sleep paralysis and it was the most terrifying thing ever. I awoke to find a green light shining on the wall next to my bed, projecting a silhouette of something humanoid, large and with wings that must have been standing where my attic bedroom stairs are. There was a loud wind sound and I could hear breathing like a horse. I was terrified. I could not move. It felt like a lead weight was pressing against my chest - an invisible force holding me down so I could not run away. Not that there would be anywhere to run, the only exit was blocked by this frightening creature that I could only see the shadow of and hear its breathing. I thought this was it, this was death and I was going to die. So I mustered my will and thought if this is death then I'm at least going to look it into the eye, and I fought the force that I felt was holding me down. What seemed like ages passed as I tried to grit my teeth and push against it - then suddenly, I could move, I turned over, covered in sweat - to find no green light, no creature and no wind blowing. I was about sixteen at the time.

Sounds like it might be SP, but it could have just been a bad dream.

Oh, and Kingius, that's pretty creepy...
