Have you experienced something like this?

I had a dream in which there was this voice that spoke to me, didn't say anything important, but it was very clear, very vivid, and seemed to be 'not of me' or whatever. I remember being startled slightly even in the dream because the voice was quite clear and seemed 'interactive'.

It would not bother me except that I had been having some panic attacks and stress, then this dream. I usually have more vivid, more easy to recall dreams during the first part of my menstral cycle, which can also bring on mood swings and stress.

Last night I tried to hear the voice again, but do not recall dreams. My period is wanning and so is the hormones and the recall. I think I need to see the doctor concerning vitamins or such.

At any rate, this strange voice is bothering me, though it might be Robert Redford's voice that I just for whatever reason decided to hear. I normally have thought-like dreams and am not afraid and have control over everything.

Yes, there are voice-only dreams. I have read about them.

I have experienced something similar before, except that I was in a dark place and somewhat aware of my 'body' (so to speak).

Next time you hear the strange voice, try not to fear it, and listen to what it has to say. You may ask it what it wants. Do let us know what happened after that.

Sorry, haven't posted in a long time or been on this board for a long time.

The voice was my voice only deeper. My voice has changed over time and several weeks after this dream I woke up and then had an occassion to say something and my groggy voice sounded just like the voice in my dream.

I was once having an OBE and an unknown voice told me to go to "Leeds 17". It sounded like a guy's voice from my school but a bit deeper. I'm not going there just for some dream though it's miles away. They probably just mean nothing anyway. Unlike the conscious mind the subconscious never had to evolve, that's why so little makes sense because it can do whatever the fuck it wants.

A few times when I was dreaming but was in a void, I called out to see if anyone was there, and voices responded. I've had conversations with several different voices at one time that way.

Once when I tried to talk to my subconscious, the voice answered back and sounded just like my own voice.

Hi, Moonbeam, yeah, I've heard my voice before coming from character's mouths in dreams. Once I was dreaming about Sherlock Holmes and trying to create a story and have the character speak to me and he spoke to me with my voice. I recognized it at the time because I'd make my own suggestion tapes and listen to them and I could hear my voice and the way it sounded.

I guess my voice has changed as I've gotten older and I just never noticed because why would I pay attention to that? It sounds the same as it ever did. Or at least I am so used to it, you know?

Like the TV talking, or more like a 'person', directly to you?

Not sure what you mean or which person you are replying to but if you are asking if the Sherlock Holmes character spoke to me like a person or like a tv thing I made it say some lines I was making up as I was dreaming after the character said the lines in my voice I then thought about how the actor who played Holmes sounded on tv and replicated that voice and had him speak the lines again in that voice.

Last night in my dream I was sort of viewing the dream, not in it and I was talking to me in the dream... If that makes any sence at all...

Very interesting, I've had this many times.

It's usually in just the beggining of my dream.

I usually hear quite a racket, people screaming yelling, etc.

Then, after a bit, it proceeds into a dream. :)

There have been times where I basically only heard voices talking though. It's actually quite interesting.

Yeah, I have audio hollucinations all the time, usually only when I am very sleepy and nervous. I used to hear country music coming from the air conditioner, but no more since I moved the computer desk :-) I hate country music and believe all rednecks should die.

I hear poping and cracking and sometimes think I hear the neighbors or one of those goddamn bong bong stereos. I hope ya'll go deaf, I am so tired of those stupid loud bong bong shitz.

I usually ignore it or if I check I can usually learn the source of the sound that my ears are hearing wrong.
