My recall goes down if I have something to worry about in waking life, or if I'm really tired and I just don't feel like remembering my dreams that night. Is something like this going on for you?
Yep. That must be it. I've been worrying about some things. I was actually trying to have a lucid dream so that I could practice dealing with it. Gee guess that backfired huh? XD
Recall fluctuates, if you've had stress recently that could have affected it however i have found that even when not under stress my recall can fluctuate. In the morning when waking, try some meditation for about 10-15 minutes, it helps me recall my dreams, give it a go if you like.
Being really tired will also hinder your recall. Most of the time if I'm really tired, I wake up with a recollection, but go right back to sleep so I loose it.
damn it! The same seems to be happening to me too in this period. During the last 2 weeks the only thing I've been able to write on my dream journal are small clips while before I had finally began to achieve something (about 2-3 dreams per night).
I'm expecially experiencing problems in remembering what I've been dreaming about. It's like yeah, I wake up after dreaming (a particular instinct I seem to have developed), I've got my dream journal with me and then I wonder "what have I been dreaming of?". No answer.
