Thread: Odd Experience In A Dream

Last night I visited Dream Views for the first time in a while, for the past 6 months I haven't remembered many dreams and haven't been keeping a dream journal.

So after spending an hour or so reading Dream Views I watched a bit of a movie (Rambo =P) and went to bed.

I dreamed and everything like I normally do, not remembering much, and just about five minutes ago talking to my friend I remembered I had gotten lucid and written something in my dream journal! Then I wondered why I hadn't realised it until now, and remembered. I never WROTE in my dream journal, it was in a place where I would have had to get up to get it. Then realised I had experienced a false awakening, because of this I no longer remember anything I did in my lucid or what I wrote down in my dream. =(

Just wondering if this has happened to many other people.

I've had a total of one false-awakening, and it was pretty freaky, but I had been reading about it about a week before, which is a little odd. I got up and I had a bunch of weird dream-esque events occur and then I woke up again.

My most common FA is thinking that I have gotten up and and am writing in my journal. Sometimes this happens two or three times in a row. A lot of times, I can't find a blank piece of paper, or something prevents me from writing, and I keep thinking I'm going to forget my dream if I don't write it down soon. I think these actually help me remmber my dream tho, because I usually remember the original dream pretty well when I finally really wake up.
