Because I plow snow in the winter, it is not uncommon to be up plowing all night. Provided the situation, it can go on several days with limited sleep.
I have noticed that when I do get the chance for a full nights rest I incur what they call REM rebound. This provides me with a ton of dreams in the coarse of a night.
What got me thinking was that my dream journaling has pointed out to me that my general dreaming habits are similar. I have episodes of spectacular nights of many many dreams and then go several nights without any.
~So am I not sleeping well for some reason on a normal basis?
In addition to this If I get up to write my any of my dreams down it will awake me too much. As a result I get out of the zone.
So I have the choice of remembering small tidbits of 8 to 10 dreams or a significant amount of one our two by writing them down.
What would you like better reading a few pages of 8 to 10 books or one whole book?
You have a third choice, taking notes of 8 to 10 dreams and remembering a significant amount of all of them by reading the notes the next morning.

That is a very good analogy nightshade. Thanks.
One of the issues is that I don't have 8 - 1o dreams if I wake and write them down. As I said, it snaps me out of the dreaming zone I was in.
