Does any one know a blind person who dreams, and if so can they explain what happens in them? |

Of course they dream! Everyone dreams! Deaf, blind, whatever. Perhaps they just don't see in their dreams |
Theres no reason why they wouldnt dream. |
Can blind people think freely like any other normal person? Just because they are blind doesn't mean their brain doesn't work like yours; with the exception of the part that allows you to see : P |
I've heard that if you became blind part-way through life, you'll dream like people with sight for a while, but eventually it fades away and you just dream of sounds, tastes, and feelings. |

"It was a dream! Can you control what you dream about, Hermione?" -HP7-9 Tasks-
Yes, blind people do have dreams. However, those blind since birth or very early childhood have no visual imagery in their dreams. Instead, they experience a very high percentage of taste, smell, and touch sensations in their dreams. |
I was thinking about a person who unfortunately became blind midway through their life and still has visual dreams and becomes lucid. They wake up in a dream. Do they continue dreaming with sight or do they dream as if they were awake without sight? Can a blind person at birth become aware they are dreaming? Perhaps more frequently aware than the sighted? |
Interesting read.... |

I was kind of thinking about that, and I realized how well a reality check that would be! (serious not joking or poking fun) |

So if a blind person became Lucid and they could do anything they wanted... could they force imagery to appear? I mean... I'm sure they have a concept of what imagery is, especially through the subconscious. |

This is something I never thought about but it is deep. I have heard stories about people who have lost limbs still feel the removed limb(s). |

Yes I had an uncle who had cramps in his artificial leg. Sounds funny but it must be really scary to be at the sharp end of it. |
have you ever experienced the sensation of falling? and jolted up awake? |

This topic has been brought up quite a bit lately. I dunno if anyone has explained yet but this is how it goes... If someone is blind from birth they only dream sounds/smells/feelings/tastes... missing the sight part of course. If they are lucid, no they still cannot picture stuff, because they can't comprehend images. If a person had sight for some time and then goes blind, they can still have dreams just like us, and they can have dreams without sight. I imagine if one of them goes lucid, it would be very cool for them to be able to live with sight again! only in the dream of course... |
It's probably easier for blind people to lucid dream cause they're not distracted with visual imagery and will probably get the "dream feeling" a lot stronger. Plus, they must probably be more confused in dreams because things aren't the same way as in reality, like counting steps and touching stuff won't lead you to the same place you would usually be in. |
