Strongest affection and love I have ever felt in a dream

Hey everyone, I'm new to DV and I made the account to discuss a topic I will explain below. First of all, I'm sorry if a thread like this already exists. I read some posts and I will definitely will stick around for a longer time but for the start I wanted to talk about a dream I had last night. I hope I can get some opinions and maybe hear from someone with similar experiences. I was living in a wooden house, somewhere outside a smaller village in a rain forest. I can't remember if I was living there permanently or if I was on vacation. I met two girls that were around my age (23). They were travelling through the Country and I offered them to stay at my place. They didn't know each other before they met while travelling. I didn't know those girls in real life although they seemed really familiar from the beginning. And as I got to know them and did some activities together with them I started to feel a really strong affection towards both. (I know it's kinda vague but sadly that's all I can remember of how the dream started). One of the girls was taller than me, had short brown hair and hazel eyes. She was really skinny and shy, while the other one was more extrovert. She had longer, light Brown hair and green eyes. They were both really pretty and I really started to love both of them at the same time. It escalated when I was talking to the taller Girl and suddenly felt the urge to kiss her. I simply smiled at her and she stopped talking for a second, smiled back at me and I simply kissed her. It wasn't sexual in any way and it's hard for me to describe it. It was so intense and felt better than any kiss in real life so far. It was almost as I could feel her joy that the kiss is finally hapenning, as if she wanted me to kiss her forever. I felt so connected to her as if I knew her forever and she was my soulmate. From there on I'm missing some pieces. The next Thing I can remember is being in a polyamorous relashionship with the two girls. I was hugging both of them at the same time and it was such a intense Feeling of affection to them. My Feelings were in no way physical though.More like I would protect them from every harm in the world. It's really hard for me to describe because even in my two relationships in real life, I've never felt that way before. After I woke up I was really missing them and I am still really agitated by now, overwhelmed by the experience. I woke up after I went to bed with them and fell to sleep peacefully. And I felt really weird at first. I started to remember more Details as I was lying in bed and tried to recall what I just experienced. Anyways, I hope I'll get some replies and we can discuss about the meanings and if someone had similar experiences. Thanks for reading and have a great day everyone! Daniel

I have had similar experiences as far as connection to dream characters goes. It is really interesting how much you can feel for someone who you have never met, someone who probably isn't even real. I have a lot of dreams that are somewhat romantic in nature, but like your experience in this dream they are almost never sexual (however that is probably because I am the same way when I am awake). Hopefully you will dream of them again . Several dream characters I have developed a relationship with have been in my dreams multiple times.

Hey Daniel, welcome to DV! I second what Jewel said. I have had similar experiences, and indeed it reflects waking life in some way. Romantic, kissy dreams, without sex. Represents a desire to be close to someone, but also shows that the mind isn't stuck/focused on sex. And I love what Superman said. The representation of two contrasting parts of yourself. Also the whole protective thing, I get that too. The deep desire to be needed by someone. The desire to be a protector of loved one(s). Your dream in particular, Dan, is interesting. Firstly, it seems to represent repressed (or maybe not repressed) desire to find romance. A desire to find someone that you can connect with on such a deep level. That desire is coming from the unconscious, and spilling out so powerfully that you not only experienced it with one person, but two. However there's another meaning hidden in that too. Unconsciously, you are worried about what would happen if you fell in love with two people at the same time. Interestingly, in the dream you continued to connect with both of them, which means that your automatic solution is love. Which shows another meaning; you've got so much love just waiting to burst out. You've got so much love to give, but perhaps you feel as if you've got nobody to give it to. Sorry if that was difficult to follow, I just typed as my train of thought went along.

It wasn't difficult to follow at all. I really appreciate your Input. I think a lot of what you wrote is true. I had a similar dream last night. It was my own wedding and even though the woman I married was not one of the Girls of my previous dream, I felt exactly the same affection and love again. The dream started with us two being alone in my Room and a Feeling of pure happiness overcame me as I realized that I will spend the rest of my life together with this wonderful woman. I hugged her again (I kinda like hugs lol)... Then the dream went into another direction as I left the bride alone and went downstairs to welcome and greet some of the guests. It became strange at some Point because every main character from Oceans's Eleven was at my wedding and I had a casual cigar with Clooney and Brad Pitt. Then I was sad that my parents weren't at my own wedding and woke up.
