My personal experience with unique dream characters (or reoccurring people that only exist in my dreams) is a guy named Isaac. Isaac is more of a dream guide and pretty much only shows up when I call for him. I still find it amazing that he has his own personality, unlike anyone that I know or have met. He is a pretty chill guy most of the time unless he is trying to troll me, but he's alright. His appearance usually remains the same each time I see him. He might change clothes around, but he pretty much wears mostly white. Sometimes when I'm talking to him, I forget that he actually a creation of my imagination, but he always seems to remind me that we are the same person which is something I find interesting. |

First of all, Stromboli is a volcanic island |

Yup, I am new to this website, however I've been in the lucid dreaming game for a lot longer, but this website is still a pretty nice place. The Stromboli I was referring to is the Italian meat and cheese filled turnover. I tend to call people Stromboli for some reason, its a problem. |

Cool, thanks, that's very interesting |

Hey Ginsan and SnowStrider |

I don't ever seem to actually talk to my dream characters. It's more like we automatically understand each other and simply don't need words to communicate, alomost like telepathy. Anyway, the only reoccuring dc I have is my dream guide. We have quite an enjoyable sexual relationship. No romance, though. It would feel too much like having a relationship with myself. |

She feels real at first, but then I wake up and I know that not only is she not real, but she's just a part of myself. Doesn't feel meaningful enough to justify a relationship, since, in my mind, a relationship must be meaningful to deserve its name. I don't judge anyone who does pursue a relationship with a dc. Its just not for me. |

I had non lucid dreams when i dream and i realy like these dreams characters |

I see, so it's not because of how real she seems/acts/feels, but because of reasoning. I'm glad. |

Splodeymissile, perhaps you should see it as being important as it gives you a chance to have a good relationship with yourself, to see it as an opportunity to better understand you. What, actually, could be more important? |
|
Its definitely important. But I thought we were on about romantic relationships. In terms of discovering myself, she still would probably only represent part of the whole and it would perhaps be more useful to consider the totality of my being, rather than a single element, such as, through meditation or consulting the subconscious directly. That said, if she represents the subconcious, my shadow self or is at least something more than a dc I arbitrarily attached importance to, then you're probably right and a relationship of a sort (still not romantic) would be meaningful. I'll have to give it more consideration the next time I'm lucid. |
