Hi Aimeepee,
That is some very strong archetypal imagery, so I will offer you my own limited Jungian interpretation.
Jung proposed that each gender carries with it a balancing, subconscious archetype that takes on the form of a figure of the opposite sex. For men, that is the anima - a woman that represents feminine characteristics. For women, that is the animus - a male figure (or figures) representing masculine characteristics. That can include strength, independence, assertiveness, etc. That a male figure would appear to be cohabiting a space with you and be forcing you to swallow something seems entirely consistent with what could be your experience of taking on independence with an apartment of your own and being in charge of your home.
My suggestion would be taking some time to reflect on how you have adapted to living independently and owning the autonomy you have chosen for yourself. Much of Jungian dream theory has to do with integrating elements of the unconscious, so you may want to consider in what ways you may feel uncomfortable with any generically 'male' roles that your new arrangement has 'forced' upon you and see how those expand or enrich your experience.
My two cents, anyways.
