Feeling the object in the dream

      Hello!
It's nice to finally stumble upon this forum! Nice to meet you Guys!

By the way.. I have this question.. that I always want to ask but don't know whom to ask.. I had a dream some times ago.. I am with this guy, we are standing face to face with each other. He is looking at me right in the eye, we are holding hands and when I woke up, that dream feels so real.. I mean I can feel the touch of his hands. I never have a dream like that before..

Is it a lucid dream? I don't control the environment though...

And another question.. If I feel the dream so real in my place.. what happens with the other person?

Thank you Guys for the response!

it is a lucid dream if you area aware that you are in a dream, and controlling the dream at the same time. someone correct me if i am wrong on this matter.

You didn't realize you were dreaming though, right? Or did you? If you didn't realize you were dreaming while in the dream, then you just had a super vivid non-lucid dream. I've had some non-lucids that I would say were more vivd than any lucid I've had - like all the touches and emotions still lingered when I woke up. It's a very mind-blowing feeling

As for what happens to the guy in your dream, he just fades back into your subconscious mind where he came from :p Maybe once you have a lucid you can summon him up again?

It's considered a lucid dream as long as you're aware you are dreaming. Lucid dreams can have varying levels of dream control, so you can be aware you are dreaming (lucid) and still unable to control the dream, and it would be considered an LD.

      Interesting!

To my knowledge, I don't think I've ever really been able to remember the way something feels from a dream. I can usually remember the visual texture but not the actual sensation- the closest I can think of is a dream I had when I was like 2 about paper towels and a troll I remember the goopy, soft feeling of the towels... it was rather gross, really
