Is this possible?
Is it at all possible for ones mind to be too cluttered to go lucid, I am only wondering because my dreams tend to be very scattered. As in they go from one thing to another all the time, and it's really big jumps, for example going from a really happy dream, to a really dark/scary (I guess) dream, so near complete opposites. Any input would be appreciated greatly appreciated :?

I suppose, but this sounds more like what would be experienced in dreams formed during the first sleep period, the first four to six hours of sleep.
Do you wake up after these dreams and note the time and how long you've been asleep? That would really help.
Knowing your habits and some more about your sleep would make this easier to figure out.
How long do you sleep without waking?
Do you wake in the night?
Do you eat before bed?
Do you smoke/drink/use drugs?
You need not answer these questions if you do not want to but they are all factors that could easily contribute to dreams like the ones you describe. Even your noise exposure while you sleep could cause you to have erratic dreams.
Let me know some more about your sleep habits and I bet we can work on getting you some better dreams. :)

That's how I tend to dream when I am high.
I suppose once you answer the questions below it can be determined what causes you to dream this way but sometimes stress causes me to do the same when my mind is so muddled with different topics I can't focus on one specific subject.

No, i dream like this sometimes, but i am not high or whatever. The only reason why sometimes i dream ashambles is because something is distracting me in dreams and is trying to for a very long time. Been years like this off and on. main reason is because i am telepathic in dreams and waking life. I receive signals from others while i sleep, which is annoying when i am dreaming.
