Dreams crash just like computer programs

My dreams seem to crash like your internet browser would. They seem to come across something that they don't like (say...becoming lucid...or even something very exciting or out of place in a dream), then terminate. Is this because the mind naturally want a dream to be like real life? Is the key to trick your mind into thinking that what is happening is normal? A program crashes because it encounters a fatal error- is that excitement? Is that the main reason for dream crashing?

I'm thinking dream "crashes" probably because of our inability to focus our unconscious well.

Oh and I would like to add on, my browser is definitely more sturdy than my dreams, it crashes less often.

In my dreams a lot of illogical things happen, sometimes I am someone else in my dream, most often my dreams contain famous people and rarely I am dreaming as a famous person, but my dream continues and my mind works around it constantly shifting scenes and characters and the story progresses regardless. Sometimes though, last night as is happens, I find that some things won't work in a dream and I can't move away from the same scene and group of people, like being stuck in my own infinite loop, a piece of technology won't function properly and I'll keep trying the same thing over and over, or more often I'm trying to solve a pattern of some sort, whether it's a type of code or just total illogical thought obsession with no surroundings, plot, characters or anything, and I wake up very frustrated and won't go back to sleep for a few hours, that's how I would describe my dreams as 'crashing'.

It's very common to wake up when you get overly excited or when you get lucid, especially in your first LDs. But don't worry--with some dream stabilization techniques and some practice, this will eventually go away. You just have to learn to keep yourself relatively calm and stabilize once you get lucid, and then you'll be able to stay in the dream.

It just sounds like you were excited. That sometimes happens to me, but it happened a ton more for my first couple lucid dreams.
