I fell in love with my dream girl?

Hello forum, I've had the weirdest, but probably my most favorite, dream I have ever had.

I fell in love.

It started out as me at my school's track field, and I was walking back towards the classrooms. I saw a girl that looked like a shadow loomed over her. She was beautiful. She had long red hair, sharp/brilliant green eyes, and had the face of this one really cute girl on my cross country team. I introduced myself, and we walked and talked. After awhile, we were walking down some large sort of sci-fi, Harry Potter looking corridor with dim green lights and incredible detail on the walls. She still looked like there was a shadow over her. We then wrapped our arms around eachother, and I said something which made her smile.

I woke up, to my dismay, and then I went back to sleep. Then I saw her again in a English-looking town, only this time she WAS a shadow. I could only see her fully when she was up close, but from farther away, I could only see her shadow. It was weird, but the shadow made it look like she was dressed as a woman from the Victorian era (big dress, wig/hat, and a fancy umbrella). She called out to me, and I could sense that she was in my previous dream. It was like a LD, but I had no control.

Why did I fall in love with this shadow girl? I still have residue feelings for her as i type, and it worries me. Is it trying to tell me to talk to the girl on my track team? Or does it mean I'll soon find someone I love? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Similar thing happened to me. I dreamed about my college female friend and I fell in love.
It lasted for a week. Until I came back to my senses :D

It's just a normal part of dreaming and being human. Things like love and dreams are so natural that it's only natural when they meet somewhere in the middle.

Maybe it's telling you the future. Like, (deep voice) you shall meet this woman, but the shadows from your past will come back to haunt you! Or something like that...

Cool dream. If all this is in our minds though, didn't you fall in love with yourself? :D

Nope because it was your perception of someone else, yeah it was generated by you, but the concept isn't you.
If that makes sense?

It's funny I had a very similar dream last night. There was lots of embracing and feeling, but not sexually. It was more like love. I felt a unnatural feeling of warmth and happiness that I never feel in real life, of course, I don't get women in real life. But that will change, it better change.

I don't take it very seriously, or relate it at all to real life, because in real life, my crush would obviously react differently than a DC. However, this could very well be my brain telling me that I need to break out of my shell and feel love. Perhaps it is telling me: "hurry up".

Or perhaps it is my brain simply reflecting/comping with my loneliness. Either way, it is going to drive me to do something in real life.

I've experienced dreams like this on more than one occasion. The most amazing thing is the feeling of knowing the person completely inside and out. I've come to realize that the subconscious is pretty amazing with creating DC's and if you're lucky enough, you'll get all of the good things you loved about your previous loves wrapped up into an entirely new perfect individual. That's why you feel like you know the person extremely well because in actuality you already do :wink:

It'll pass.

You'll probably 'fall in love' with tons of dream girls, the more attention you pay to your dreams. I still wake up wishing I could spend more time with some of the amazing women I meet in my dreams.

Have the same problem with a dream-boy. He keeps showing up in my nightmares, and I think that's okay.
I've now dreamed about him in over a year, and I've never seen him before, I swear.

I'm 60 years old. Last year, I dreamed about a 6th grade girl I had never really felt anything about. Had a romantic dream hangover for a week.
