DV irc Games - Organizing Them, and Promoting Them

We've done a nice successful irc game recently, so I think it's fair to say it works.

For people interesting in joining one, or starting one, this thread can be used for putting up times, games, questions, discussion of current ones, and so on.

If you're not sure what any of this means, do ask. It's fun and can be as casual, simple and easy to do or as hardcore, expert and intense as you'd like it to be.

Played out this just now, putting up a brief summary as record for posterity and for possible continuation.

Game: Borg Attack, the players are the crew of the USS Tsiolkovsky, NCC-53911-A, Oberth class, face a Borg infestation from within the bowels of the ship itself.
Players: Sindred (GM), tom32, Caliban.

What Happened: Both players managed to heroically overload their phasers, one managed to get hit by the explosion, and ultimately they evacuated the ship after calling for help. The Borg claim another vessel, and further insight into Starfleet technologies.

Characters:
Captain Walter Bradshaw, Denobulan. Lost his left arm fighting the Borg.
Lieutenant Commander Aaron O'Reilly, human. Chief Medical Officer.

If people like the sound of this, there may well be a continuation game to join. The ship has to be retaken, after all.

I am not sure what I just played. I think it was a western with pleasurefish. All I know is it was amazing.

I dunno, but I think the steam punk esque one will happen before the pleasurefish...seeing as we already have a meeting time for the steam punk-like one
