With me, I don't even have to think of something that makes me happy or anything.

It's just like flipping a switch

Were you always able to flip that switch? Can you do it now, and pay very close attention to your mental processes, and describe, in great detail, what you do when you do it? Do you actually visualize a switch? Where is it? Do you hear anything? Do you visualize anything? Do you imagine a feeling before it becomes real?

I want to learn to do exactly this for... basically all pleasant emotional states I can think of.

It's not really an emotional state, it is purely a physical sensation similar to an electric current. I cannot speak for Sentaku but there is not visualisation when I do it, it just happens when I want to... Like telling your orm to grab a cup, no words, no images, just movement...

Well, all emotional states are just a different arrangement of hormones that your brain creates, so really, it's all the same. I get what you mean with the "grabbing a cup" thing.

Smile The Frequency of the conscious/subconscious Mind...

      Hi,

I'm known on this site as MementoMori, threw my Pen name as Pennman Wright, But most know me by The Traveler. Indeed a large amount of my friends and fellows call me by this name. You may have noticed i talk about ascending in some posts here, and about enlightenment. I've been Meditating since i was about 12, i grew up seeking something inside myself which led to a bridge that is still being built connecting me to my subconscious mind. Threw my many years of meditation i have brought many things into my life which others have much trouble accepting, one such thing being Lucid Dreaming. Another is the ability to quickly cleanse my mind and replace my thoughts with pure happiness which for me applies the affect spoken of herein.

Replicon, I cannot speak for the others here, but what i can say about this for myself is this: When i apply this, i wipe my concentration of all else and focus on the immediate task at hand. I write off all current emotions and thoughts plaguing or draining my attention and awareness. I close my eyes and picture a pure whiteness, pure of myself or anything else in the universe and then i accept this as my mind/consciousness and then think of the most elated most exaggerated feeling of happiness i've ever felt (with time and work it will come to you very quickly) and visualize it as a bright blinding light or a powerful bolt of light that erupts in the void of pure mental state and {here's the key} I allow it to fill me and actually believe it to happen with all the fervor and faith my mind can conjure. I've practiced this to an art that i can produce it in almost the time it takes me to blink.

For awhile I was planning on having a group here and instructing people on how to do this, what it is etc. Called the Human Vibrational Frequency Group. Maybe it's time that whole idea was put into action.
I have participated in such an organized session. It can and does have affects that are profound and life changing if the participants do in fact subject themselves to it with a great deal of fervor. If you wish to try this you could count me in on the participants list.

You can do this as often as you like, the more the better. Think of something that makes you feel really happy. Just smile. Listen to an amazing song. Watch an emotional movie. Anything that touches your heart and brings you joy. Anything that gives you shivers up and down your spine and makes your hair stand on end and feel full of energy and light. Seriously...this is a really well known phenom that is practiced all over Asia. Every culture calls it something different...vibrations, energy, prana, Qi (chi), etc.

This is how you can raise your vibrational frequency and start bringing more awesome things into your life.
I have experienced the results of finely tuning ones vibrations to achieve certain results, and tuning ones vibrations to others to experience certain phenomenon.

I am still in my travels of ascending.

MementoMori: Brilliant! This is the sort of thing I'm going for. If I can find a way to systematically build up to whatever feeling I want, and repeat it over and over, the neural pathways will form that will allow me to do it faster and faster, until it's just second nature. Like reaching for a cup

Yeah, i believe they do it just in the sense of the body, but i practiced it while meditating and was able to adapt a feeling of elation to join it so that i'm not only pumped full of energy, but i'm in the clearest mindset i can be in with only resonances of happiness vibrating threw my body. It really is a wonderful thing and can benefit in many situations and events.

Hi Memento, although the proces you describe sounds increadibly intriguing I think it is not the same as the feeling this thread is subject to.

The "rush" feeling is relatively sepperate from mental feelings, I for example do not suspend any mental emotional of physical processes when I evoke it...

It is also not related to a feeling of "happiness" or "bliss"... It is a neutral feeling indeed similar to an adrenaline rush without the fear...

I apologize, i may have left out the part where the rush sends energy or adrenaline shooting throughout my body that makes me feel pumped or able to just do anything if i try, speeds me up and brings my motor skills to a peek and with the technique i described the byproduct is you're in a great mood whilst it happens... Now i've done this enough that i can do it as quickly as blinking which what it looks like i'm doing, with a small tremble running threw my body and most often goosebumps along my arms and legs an kneck.

I know just what the OP is talking about.

I can, but I don't find practical much use in it.

Sentaku, are you talking about a sort of "muscle" that you flex in your head?

I think that is the pineal gland flexing and it's Chi/Qi, Reiki, light or whatever you want to call it.

If you actually lie down, close your eyes and meditate, and BREATHE DEEPLY. You can flex the pineal gland and move this energy around your body and make parts of your body vibrate subtly JUST by focusing your awareness on it. It is VERY interesting.

There is a meditation called Qi meditation I think. It teaches you how to use this energy. Just by focusing/pointing your awareness somewhere, your sending energy to it.

I think this is how Reiki energy healing works, but it takes a lot of concentration and focus to keep the energy moving.

      It's called Qi Gong.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qigong

      ------------------------------------

For me, If i constantly flex the pineal gland for about 5 minutes straight, it starts vibrating on it's own. And it's very euphoric. It actually feels like the same WILD vibration you get when you enter sleep paralysis.

One time i actually went to sleep with the pineal gland flex and I was pulled into Hypnagogic hallucinations. I ended up waking up from it because that was the first time I had HI.

Thanks for this thread. I think this is a sign to start working with the pineal gland again.

I've read of other people getting that little head tingle, or "rush" on this website. It appears that some people have a stronger rush than others.

      [edit]

Synosha!: That is EXACTLY how it is. YES! I'm not crazy. lol

There are meditations that you can do to cultivate the energy.

By the way, anyone can do the Chi/Qi meditations, you don't need to be able to "flex" that muscle, because the act of breathing deeply is intaking air/spiritual energy/life force/reiki/chi/qi /consciousness

Everyone can do it. It's not a gift. Every person has life force, energy, prana, call it what you like. It's just a matter of learning how to be more aware of something that is already there.
      exactly!

Qigong (or ch'i kung) is an internal Chinese meditative practice which often uses slow graceful movements and controlled breathing techniques to promote the circulation of qi within the human body, and enhance a practitioner's overall health. There are also many forms of qigong that are done with little or no movement at all, in standing, sitting and supine positions; likewise, not all forms of qigong use breath control techniques. Although not a martial art, qigong is often confused with the Chinese martial art of tai chi. This misunderstanding can be attributed to the fact that most Chinese martial arts practitioners will usually also practice some form of qigong and to the uninitiated, these arts may seem to be alike. There are more than 10,000 styles of qigong and 200 million people practicing these methods. There are three main reasons why people do qigong: 1) To gain strength, improve health or reverse a disease 2) To gain skill working with qi, so as to become a healer 3) To become more connected with the "Tao, God, True Source, Great Spirit", for a more meaningful connection with nature and the universe.

In its simplest form, the Chinese character for qi, in qigong, can mean air, breath, or "life force". Gong means work, so qigong is therefore the practice of "working" with ones "life force". The term was not widely known until the 1970s during a period some call the "Qigong Wave" where groups of 10,000-40,000 people regularly gathered inside Chinese stadiums to practice qigong together. Some in the Chinese government became concerned that one quasi religious/political group (see Falun Dafa or Falun Gong)who practiced a qigong form of their own, might turn into a political weapon, and in 1999, banned all large qigong gatherings. Currently there is a movement underway in China, the United States, and Europe to preserve the valuable aspects of these traditional Chinese practices and to have them studied using Western scientific methods.

Attitudes toward a scientific basis for qigong vary markedly. Most Western medical practitioners and many practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine, as well as the Chinese government, view qigong as a set of breathing and movement exercises, with possible benefits to health through stress reduction and exercise. Other practitioners view qigong in more metaphysical terms, claiming that qi can be felt as a vibration or electrical current and physically circulated through channels called meridians. Many testify to a reduction or elimination of pain through the use of qigong.

Athletes do this all the time. Simply raising your breathe rate will increase your heart rate, which will pump adrenaline into your systems. It's a common trick for top athletes and I've taught it to every student that I've ever had.

      Thumbs up Adrenaline Rush

Glad to see that I am not the only one who knows how to release their adrenaline at will. I have been practicing this for some time. It is very difficult to concentrate the rush into one area of your body since it spreads.

This is awesome! I fining finally found something on this. i have also been able to do this since i was a kid. I learned how to do this from trying to go super saiyan when i was a kid which is what i compare it to now. I just imagined a situation where i was needed and it happened and gave me the abilities that a lot of you explain here. i can now get it going on will immediately like flipping a swtich that starts in my head and i feel the electricity through my body. it puts my body to its peak. and i can after getting it started i can increase it by imagining being needed. im excited there are others like me.

I can also do this and to tell you the truth it kinda scares me but it didn't use to. The reason it started to scare me is because not too long ago "the rush" did it by itself and then it felt like it changed from an electrical feeling to a burning sensation. But the problem is when i "turn it on" i can only do it for 10 seconds, it feels like something wont let me use it completly. Is anyone else having this problem?
