They're loaded with sugar, for starters.
Let's throw high blood pressure in there.
Caffeine and caffeine plus caffeine and then caffeine and then add caffeine and more caffeine and lots of caffeine. :boggle:
Not like we don't already take lots of caffeine.
Some people are allergic so some of the components. Other than that, it's just slightly worse than coffee.
They're horrible.
Drink 5 hour energy.
Seriously, don't you watch tv?
They good for the initial rush, but the decline in sugar brings your body lower than it was before you drank it.
I only every drink them when I have a football match, those and trusty Jaffa cakes :D
and lets not forget a shit load of chemicals. Seriously just drink water or juice, if you read the label on monster drinks and some others it says (LIMIT 1 PER DAY) or 2. They are even admitting that drinking too much of this stuff can be dangorous.
Really bad.
That said I don't believe them to be considerably worse than other soft drinks. They have a bit of caffeine, which isn't the worst thing in the world, and a few added vitamins that aren't going to hurt you.
It's the sugar that is bad, and anything with large amounts of sugar are not good for your health. If you look at the sugar amount of say coke or sprite you will see that there is a similar amount of sugar as most energy drinks.
It just means they're all bad. :)
Try slamming down 3 of those as fast as you can...WOW!!!!
I used to have 1 a day every work day because they are the only things that wake me up, but now i try and get by in the mornings. Everyone at my work kept telling me to stop drinking them, they are really bad, so i eventually stopped and i'll suffer the day sleepy. But i found out my problem was lack of Iron, so now i am taking Iron pills daily, and it's MUCH better. I literally was walking on my knees. But i am still tired, but i can actually stand up! i had to go to the back every few hours when working holding the table trying to stand up.
My god, your fatigue sounds exactly like me in my dreams. I wonder if they're trying to tell me something.
I'm personally against any stimulants in the morning besides an ACTUAL breakfast, orange juice and water. I've been able to get through my days just fine without coffee or energy drinks, and besides they're very damaging to your health.
