      Low Fat, high protein diet. My diet yesterday was very, very healthy & balanced.

      Thanks to everyone who has already posted. This is good motivation for me.

      Ame: Congrats on your weight loss so far. That's great that you have been able to have good success. Don't worry too much about the gain this week. Just move on and continue to focus. And you need to remember that not all weight gain is fat gain. Just keep it up, girl! You're going to do great. And remember there is nothing like the feeling of improving your body. You have so many great moments ahead of you.



      Zhaylin: Good luck to you too. And thanks for being brave and posting the first pictures. Just keep focusing on making good food choices.

      Snowy: Good for you for starting. Like I said to Ame, you have so many great moments ahead seeing and feeling the improvements as you really get fit.

      And to all the guys: Good luck in your goals to gain muscle.


      As for me....

      I have been working on fitness for a while now. I lifted weights regularly about 5-6 years ago and felt great. I have stayed active, but I have slacked on the weights even though I know that the weights are what made me feel so good.

      I started lifting again the second week of January and have done well except for a week I was out of town.

      Physical Goals: I want to gain some muscle while losing some body fat. I'm not sure about exact numbers. I'll know when I get there. But if I had to make a guess, I'd say to gain about 5-8 pounds of muscle and lose 10 pounds of bodyfat.

      Days you'll exercise: Mon-Sat

      Cardio Routine: 4+ days a week, varies

      Weight Routine: (for now-- this changes) Mon: chest, shoulders, back. Tues: Lower body. Wed: Core. Thurs: Biceps and triceps.

      Current weight: Irrelevant. Since I want to gain almost as much muscle as I want to lose of fat, I'll track my progress through jeans size and bodyfat (as soon as I find a battery for my calipers) Current jeans size: size 8, slightly loose (juniors size 11, also slightly loose.)

      Why are you joining?: Because it's always nice to be doing this with a group. I hope we can all give each other good motivation. And I can't wait for everyone to be able to share their successes!

      Home made milkshake: (about 3 oz milk, 1 T cream, small amount of unsweetened cocoa power, 1 T natural peanut butter, a few drops of stevia. Mixed and set in the fridge for a few hours until partially frozen. Stir and you have a shake/ice cream.)

      Edit: also 10 pistachios


      Drinks consumed today: Just water. I still need to drink more. I have only had about 4 glasses so far.

Welcome to the club Twoshadows! :bravo: Snowy, Ame's don't get bent...things will pick up I'm sure The buddy system is great because (in addition to club support) your buddy monitors your progress and rates your postings and performance. Not to mention your buddy is also there to personally motivate you and keep you on track toward the goals you've set for yourself .

      Thanks for the support, guys and gals I'm pressing on to this next week and I know things will get better. Other people have commented that I'm looking slimmer and I've noticed it as well. My mom was commenting that I've been "dancing (DDR) my butt off!" I laughed. We laughed.

      Took a good walk last night with a friend, as we try to do every Wednesday. My shins were killing me during the first 2/3rds of it, but eventually warmed up and the last 1/3 wasn't bad. I also retrieved my PS2 so I can go back to DDR at home.

      Rate your buddy's progress (1/10): 9, everything I said still stands. And eurocream is similar to nutella, but better (IMO). Plazma is possible the coolest thing about living here, it's a cookie that's rich in proteins, vitamins and even minerals. Many people eat it for breakfast, especially bodybuilders, but I prefer to eat it throughout the day.

      btw there was a mistake yesterday. I did pullups and crunches, I must have copied the list from someone who did no exercising and forgot to change that.

      My throat is slightly sore, and I'd hate it if I got sick now.

      Why are you joining? I want to have more muscle mass and still be be this weight. I'm 5'8 and physically look good, but I would like to have a leaner, tighter body. I have no desire to loose weight, just replace it with lean muscle.

      I'm using a free pass today. I've had a level 7 (out of 10) headache ALL stinking day.
      Why do I have a headache every single day of my life (or so it seems)? *grrr*

      I've only had some jerky, a weight watchers angel hair marinara (w/zuccinni and squash), a few bites of icecream and 3 chocolate chip cookies to eat today. I've had about 20 oz of coke and will drink 20 oz water before bed. I will have gone through about 2 packs of smokes before I crash (which will be soon).

      Mysterious Dreamer, what's nutella lol? I give you a 9. It's great that you're doing your exercises and your diet seems okay but you need some veggies. You're still a 10 as a buddy

      Anyway, this sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure if I would be that good at keeping up on the logs though. I have no problem with exercising obviously and am in pretty good shape but I have some serious junk food eating issues and can't get that little bit off my lower abs.
