Nuh-huh they do!

There are an infinite amount of irrational numbers and rational numbers that repeat like that.
Also, that is not a picture of an element :|
Floride and Bromide are elements, not Bromide Pentafloride... We usually call those molecules...
Bromine pentafluoride isn't an element, is it??Quote:
Nuh-huh they do!
Do you have any knowledge about anything you talk about or are you just a floating mirage of superficiality?
I'm half inclined to think you're trolling. Most 12 year olds know what elements are.
I'm not missing any point, I'm asking perfectly good and well defined questions which you apparently can't answer.Quote:

Not true tbh Roxxor, there are 0 irrationals which repeat like that.Quote:

Chemistry fail!Quote:
Nuh-huh they do!
No, irrationals don't repeat in any sense...
They go on forever though :U
Yeah if you use decimal notation like a prole. :V
Couldn't find the site I was looking for as a link so I just grabbed the first image I say because you jokers aren't worth the time.
The basic elements are shaped like the platonic solids. Because I said so. So there.
Epic fail is epic?
I'm a joker because my degree-level knowledge of Chemistry tells me the difference between an element, and the coordination numbers and orientations of complexes (including many configurations that are not platonic solids, such as trigonal bipyrimidal like PCl5)?Quote:

Not to mention the most basic understanding of Chemistry means knowing the difference between an element and a compound.
Give me a construction for squaring the circle with a compass and straight edge and I'll dig sacred geometry. It's just that the problem is that there's differential geometry, affine geometry, hyperbolic geometry, algebraic geometry, Minkowski geometry, projective geometry, analytic geometry, etc. X.geometry.com is bought and paid for with hundreds of years of effort by some of the sickest minds in history.
It's true that the greeks were funky about the stuff as well as many of the christian and islamic geometers. It's now two thousand and nine and it's ridiculous to cling to a belief that requires molecules to be atoms, circles to be squarable with a ruler and compass (The points of the square don't lie in an extension of the rationals generated by the roots of quadratic polynomials with rational coefficients which is a necessary precondition for them to be drawn with a straightedge and compass! This is because pi makes it into the coefficients and that's transcendental so not generated as the root of any polynomial with rational coefficients. The idea is that constructing the square is equivalent to calculating the length of the sides of the square which is equivalent to solving a quadratic equation. Certain steps in any construction require solving new polynomial equations. These polynomials must have rational coefficients and split to quadratics to be constructable (I believe! I haven't looked at that stuff recently enough to be positive of the details, but that's the idea. At any rate, this is finished mathematics. Galois did it.)) and all but one regular n-gon to not be constructable is just absolutely ridiculous. You're all obviously interested in science and math, you should learn some!
Square a circle with a straightedge and compass for me or you're a silly clown.
This pattern should be called The Typical Cusp Response
1. The Cusp makes a ridiculous claim, usually based on misunderstanding of very simple scientific concepts.
2. He gets proven wrong
3. He says you are ignorant /he doesn't have time for you/ he can't find the website that said so
Hydrogen is the most basic element. Which platonic solid does hydrogen look like?
I don't see the pattern except the distance of the repeating sequence 285714 is each time 3, or 6, what does it mean? Any math geniuses here who can figure this out?
that 7 cornered star looks really weird like an optical illusion... howcome?
Really cool topic btw I was just reading a book on sacred geometry but it is the math part that i'm mosty interested here, can anyone shed any light on the relation between math and geometry?
All rational numbers, that is numbers of the form of one whole number divided by another, have repeating decimal expansions.
For example, 1/7 = 0.142857142857...
This is because you can perform the following trick on the decimal expansion:
142857
= 142857.142857142857... - 0.142857142857...
= 1,000,000*0.142857142857... - 1*142857142857
= 0.142857142857...*(1,000,000 - 1)
= 0.142857142857... * 999999
=> 0.142857142857
= 142857 / 999999
= 142857 / 142857*7
= 1/7 QED
Xei that is brilliant. I didn't see it that way. That's like complementary math right? In the binary system for basic computer language, (0,1) we use this exact same technique... complementary math to calcuate the inverse to create an infinite loop, that is how you get bugs in computer programs when you exceed a certain upper limit, like say 512, the number becomes -512.. and complements have something to do with this but I dont know what, do you? I this only with the number 7 or all rational numbers?
This is a judgement all to common. It is culturist to think that our culture is the most advanced. We are destroying the world and ourselves! Yeah we have ipods. Just because they lived in the past doesn't mean that they were less advanced than we. They had batteries, they had surgery, and they discovered geometry, music. They had science. They knew just as much about anatomy as we. They had anesthesia made from herbs while we didn't until the end of the 19th century. They had an easy lifestyle where women and men were equal. The common myth is that slaves built the pyramids but it has been discovered that the people all worked together voluntarily to build them after the harvest of the crops. Yes, they did have slaves, but their slaves were treated very well and it was a good life to be a slave in ancient Egypt. They were more like servants. The common person enjoyed a life filled with leisure and play. The average person and the average slave only worked two hours a day. Except the slaves for the Pharoahs, who were servants they would work for six hours a day. The culture started off very advanced and slowly deteriorated.
All of our western knowledge has roots in Egypt. The Greek elite would go to Egypt to be educated. All of our logic, rational thought and science came from Egypt via Greece.
The Egyptians were master astronomers. And it is amazing, they knew about the procession of the equinoxes, which would take at least 2000 years to even notice that there was some kind of procession going on.
It is fascinating to look at ancient Egypt. It was the light of the world. The farther your culture was from Egypt the less advanced you were. Except ancient India. There was another amazing culture!!!
Hah, no it's a fact. By whatever metric you want, social, technological. In any domain of knowledge we are superior.Quote:
It is culturist to think that our culture is the most advanced.
You're talking about people who thought the heart contained the personality for crying out loud.Quote:
They knew just as much about anatomy as we.
So? Ours is thousands of years ahead of theirs.Quote:
they had surgery
You know the definition of "easy"? You only had it easy for much of history if you were one of the ruling elite. Our lifestyles today are far easier than at any point in history, thanks to technology. Farming is not easy without a lot of help from machinery.Quote:
They had an easy lifestyle
Egyptian knowledge and later Greek knowledge vastly contributed towards the culture we had today, forming the basis of many of the sciences (along with significant contributions from the Arabic countries later on, who preserved and built upon this knowledge). But to suggest that they were more advanced or equal is staggeringly ignorant.
Dannon you know what your talking about.
Yes Egypt is fascinating. Did you know that the original Egyptians were black/dark skinned? This has been proven. Then the Greeks came and invaded Egypt.
A friend told me that the original Egyptian teachings came from the Sumerians ( supposedly the first human civilization ) and the Sumerians were taught by the Annunaki ( an E.T. race ). Most scholars agree that most all of the religions including the 3 major religions, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all originated from the same Sumerian texts.
Some also say the Annunaki were the Sumerian God's and they were originally the "fallen angels" and Nephillim depicted in the Bible. There were some large skeletons uncovered overseas like 7ft to 14ft tall, it was said to be a hoax, but who knows. The astronaut theory say that intelligent extraterrestrial beings have visited Earth and this contact is connected with the origins or development of human cultures, technologies, and/or religions.
Some of these theories propose that deities from most—if not all—religions are actually extraterrestrials, and their technologies were taken as evidence of their divine status.

What do you think about the Egyptian sun God Ra and Thoth? I think The snakes coming out of the Pharaohs head represent Kundalini energy fully tapped. Spiritually enlightened E.T.'s. Have you ever heard of the Law of One Dannon?
You've managed to throw claims of aliens, gigantic skeletons and new age nonsense all in one post, inside a thread about 'sacred geometry'. Nice.
And why would an alien skeleton look like a human skeleton?
Well the Sumerians were wrong, because humans don't have "alien DNA". It's very earthly, we even have over 90% of our genome identical to the chimpanzee's genome.
(and even if humans had alien DNA, which we don't, then the question would be 'why does every other mammal on Earth have a skeleton similar to ours?')
Part of the remaining DNA that isn't chimp is alien.
And we all have similar skeletons because we all are mammals, we are all related.
I have some questions for you: How did DNA first appear on Earth?
and
How do aliens have DNA?
and
Where did fungus spores come from?
But this is all history, and history is written by whoever wins. There are alternative histories to every status quo history. I am just advancing this one.
I keep getting sidetracked off the topic. I believe the aliens taught us SACRED GEOMETRY among other things. Algebra is an arabic word.
Sacred geometry is cool. I still am trying to figure out where it leads, what it is all for, what the point is. Why build the pyramids? At first I was like "So what?" about sacred geometry. "Flower of life, so what?" but now I study it more, I feel I am being taught something cool subliminally. I find myself counting petals on flowers and saying "Ahhh, I see..."
