haha, no reason to be an asshole oneironautics, clearly Im not as advanced as to be able to read papers in swedish...
I hope you enjoy your culture and language for as long as you can.
no need to be offended, even trump doesn't seem to understand people can't live in a city completely turned into rubble by bombs, and calling the terrorists if they want to make some sort of a living somewhere else, all syrian people wanted was a democracy and a president who doesn't want to bomb apart there whole country and now they are terrorists?
Germanic languages are spoken by about 500 million people not really worried about it evolving.
most of the terrorists are in fact, muslim. It's a violent idealogy.

your right lets just bomb them all, because they are far to violent, Assad and Putin will be thrilled they are getting alot of help.
At least Sweden knows what they will be doing if ww3 comes, last time it was the jewish refufees and this time it will be muslims refugees.
I think Hillary Clinton actually won. but the result was rigged by the FBI. This is a covert totalitarian. The election doesn't depend on votes but depend on people who count the ballots.
result was rigged by the FBI?
What next? Trump bribed the electors?
I would never imagine a day where I'd need to explain how does electoral college works to an American.
Here, grab this link.

Donald Trump won the electoral votes, fair and square.
hunter491 - calling a person you are debating with an asshole is not stating your opinion. It's a personal attack. If you want to argue about this some more, post in Talk to staff.
INTERVIEWER
If I were to call you an arsehole, that'd be rude and offensive, right?
TRUMP
Yes, it would.
INTERVIEWER
But if I just thought you were an arsehole, you wouldn't be offended, right?
TRUMP
You can think what you like.
INTERVIEWER
Well.. I think you're an arsehole.
This never happened like this, but I wish it had. :)
That's actually incorrect, because thinking someone's something bad is different from calling them something bad, and saying "i think you're ****" is actually calling someone something bad. The interviewer was free to think whatever he wanted, but that last line was rude and offensive.
I was forced to vote for a Democrat for the first time in my life this election.
But don't worry if you don't like Trump, my party the GOP will be watching him very closely, if he even J-walks across a street, that democrat will be impeached and removed from office and Pence will be the new Republican President and you can all go back to being happy :)
Trump behaves like a dictator. If he doesn't like someone, he'll put him(her) into jail. He accepts election results 'if I win', otherwise..... Why he is so arrogant and arbitrary? Because he is the candidate of the FBI. That's their culture - lawlessness. He is a full reflect picture of it.
Might I remind you of tons of people who have been rioting on the streets in US , saying they don't accept Trump as president, although he won fairly?
^^ Actually, they were peacefully demonstrating, as was their right; not much rioting going on (unless of course you watch Fox News;)).
Still, I do agree that there wasn't much sense in protesting, because he was indeed the victor, thanks to our archaic electoral college system (he lost the popular vote by over 2 million votes, BTW, something Fox probably doesn't mention much)... I occasionally wonder how many of those protesters actually voted.
You should test out your lack of rioters theory Sageous, put on a make america great again hat and trump shirt and take a walk in a bad part of town. You might want to get lucid first and ask the dreamscape if you really believe that sh..
My estimate of protesters who voted <30%
Number of violent protesters at least >5%
I'll wait for the results of your personal research tho :)
^^ Nice.
I didn"t have a theory, Cooleymd, I was simply trying to make a clarification based on reality rather than the breathless cherry-picked imagery presented by cable news.
Without bothering to ask what exactly you mean by "the bad part of town," I could easily reverse your test and ask you to walk through your bad part of town wearing a "Hillary for president" shirt, or, worse, do so with a Mexican or Muslim at your side.
For that matter, how many protesters do you think there would have been if Clinton had won the electoral college, but lost the popular vote by millions, and how many of them would have been rioters? Your comment cuts both ways, and making it only indicates the damage this election cycle and its participants (on both sides) have done to this country.
Your estimates of non-voters and rioters seemed pretty reasonable to me, BTW... which makes me wonder why my comment drew such a response from you, when you yourself think that about 95% of the protesters were doing so peacefully.
Well if any of the media actually did their jobs, perhaps they would contact AGI and others and ask how much insurable damage was claimed, windows, looting, cars, burned stuff etc. That would give us some actual idea of the damage.
I'm not too sure about that. The Trump phenomenon seems to be an appeal to personality and party membership more than anything else. I have yet to hear one of his supporters complain about how he has blatantly gone back on several of his campaign promises. I have heard none of his supporters express a problem with the fact that he was a full blown Democrat who loved the political positions and actions of Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi not that long ago. None of his supporters on the internet I have shown it to have flinched over the video "Donald Trump Contradicting Himself for 7 Minutes." Trump has gotten the Republican masses to say indirectly that America is not great, sexual immorality is no big deal, and it's okay to insult veterans about having been captured. Trump has exposed the cultish nature of the Republican Party, which has abandoned some of its major positions in the name of supporting the party and its charismatic new leader. I used to say that the Republican Party is much more about principle than party, but after seeing this Trump thing happen, I no longer believe that. The Republican Party is extremely tribal. They hid it well for a long time, but their cover has been blown.
^^ That.
Also:
That was not the damage I was talking about, but I think you know that. I like to think that the media's job transcends assessing damage from demonstrations.
And yes, had the media done their job, then both Trump and Clinton would probably have never made it to the election; our Fourth Estate has let us down, dramatically.
From my perspective (and I should not hesitate to admit that I'm neither american, nor in the US), that observation is completely wrong. As far as I can tell, the "Trump phenomenon" is all about saying "No! We can't take it anymore!" to the ruling system. The election of Trump has been driven by frustration, and wrath, induced by the condescending attitudes, and ruthless actions of the "ruling elites" (mostly main stream politicians, government officials, big business leaders and lobbyists, and the main stream media).
Moreover, the Republican party tried everything it could to avoid Trump, and therefore the election of him is not about party membership; those following the party line could not possibly have voted for him in the primaries, and yet he prevailed massively there.
Realistically, I ended up going to a bar, saw him on the news winning the election and had a couple shots. Its just weird, I feel like people that are for Trump/voted for him are staying quiet for the most part and that the people against him have been more vocal. But my friends aren't really into politics that much and the most I see of it is over facebook or the internet... real life day-to-day has remained pretty much the same "so far". It could also be because I'm in Indiana so idk, this whole situation is really strange lol. I guess I'm mentally preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. The best in this case being just the economy taking a hit again
And edit:
I'm still mind blown how he has no diplomatic experience, or how some people supposedly believe he is "like us" because he is normal ie not a politician. But he's not normal, he's ROLLING in money, I just don't understand how can people think he is like them when he lives the lifestyle of a billionaire. Like is the hate for our system that much, or the level of literacy/intelligence so low to think it would be a good idea for him to be the symbol of our country and way of life? But apparently lots of people felt so.
