Thought this could make for an interesting discussion - rock the vote or riot on Main Street? Here's a few examples to get things rolling, I'll add more once the thread gets off the ground.

"Legitimate" (ie. non-violent) forms of dissent:
- voting
- petitions
- picket lines
- strikes
- boycotts
- mass gatherings

Pros: Mass appeal
Cons: Easy to ignore/suppress

"Illegitimate" (ie. radical) expressions of dissent:
- vandalism
- riots
- rebellions
- and any and all other radically disruptive tactics

Pros: Demand immediate response
Cons: Don't have the support of the moderate majority
