That's some good acting. It was believable until the actual wrestling. Being a lot less exposed than people today, I can almost see why a lot of folks back then fell for this shenanigan. |

The acting was really good. Andy Kaufman is a legend for doing a lot of things like that. He put his acting talent toward pulling all kinds of shows that looked real even though they were fake just so he could play pranks on the audience. Memphis wrestling was a riot to watch any way, and the audience's behavior was part of the reason for it. Then Andy Kaufman came into the picture and made it even more of a trip. |
