So yeah, I bought the first 3 Metal Gear Solids yesterday. They came in a specialty pack for only $20.
I'm currently playing through the first game right now. I'm at the part where you have to fight Psycho Mantis.
I've played some of the 2nd and 3rd Metal Gear, but now I have all 3 so I can do it from start to finish...just need a PS3 and Metal Gear Solid 4.
So yeah, who else likes the MGS series?

Ha, I remember the Mantis fight. There's a trick you have to do with your playstation if you know what I mean. I like his mind control music :D
I have MGS 1-4 and beat them all. I don't really have a favorite, I like them all. But I like how MGS3 has the whole survival concept. In MGS1, I really hate the fight in the end. Not because it was hard, you'll find out why if you play it. It pissed me off lol.
I'm going to buy a PSP soon (my old one got jacked) and I'm going to get MGS Peacewalker.
Have you heard about the new MGS coming out? You have to play Raiden as a cyborg I think. Suppose to come out near 2012.
omg i don't even remember the ending of mgs, and i played it only a few months ago...wow that's odd. I remember liquid being a persistent sob and never dying but I don't remember was what could piss someone off lol the game didn't really make me mad unless I died a lot of times.
I'm a long time fan of MGS. My favourite one was MGS2 believe it or not. The reason for this is because I got so damn hyped up for it, and it lived up to the hype. Not to mention that it brings back memories of the countless times I spent, knocking over the Marines like dominos during the speech.
I think MGS3 was the best one, but it's not my favourite. If that makes any sense hehe.
Yeah I actually was referring to Liquid. Just trying to not spoil too much. I just kept thinking that I probably won, but then he's like "hey I'm back!". Also in the parking garage, I had a real hard time with that part because I didn't know you could aim in 1st person unlike the rest of the game.
Lol good times with the tanker part and the Marines. I don't know what made me decide to just tumble over them. Me and my friend were up until like 2am rofl our asses off. It's also fun to use the stealth and go up to one of them and punch them in the face or the nuts.
hehe that is fun however in mgs3 I would have loads of fun crawling up to enemies and choking them for information and airstrike frequencies and healing stations it was soooo fun, and throwing poisonous animals at enemies is amazingly fun, and using special items to piss off bosses like those yellow mushrooms.

All this talk about MGS got me to play MGS3 again, especially since Peace Walker is going to come out in the states soon and it's suppose to take place about 10 years later. I'll be sure to have some fun with those items :D I heard that Raikov gives you some weird information if you interrogate him.
Oh and have you seen the weapon/security propaganda in MGS4?
nope I have not seen that in mgs4, and also for mgs3, raikov does give you something, i forgot what...but i carried his naked body around a lot hehe that cute guy, well 'character'
I love how volgin touches snake's....snake to see if he was raikov or not, lol whats with 'straight' macho men grabbing other mens balls haha....mgs3 is so funny. and also scary, the sorrow boss...omg..
Just beat the first MGS.
Now for the 2nd Metal Gear!
In MGS4, if you watch the title screen play out (Snake in the graveyard) and keep watching it to the part were he's about to you-know-what, a commercial comes on, and I believe there's 4 different ones for each of the boss's.
Pretty much all of the MGS series has funny material in it. Some of the things you notice in the background like a "No Smoking" sign in with cutscenes of Snake smoking and coughing while Otacon bugs him to quit. Or sometimes when you catch a solider with their pants down lol.
The Sorrow was a little creepy... I liked his background music.

Yea it was akiba, hehe he is kinda cute though when he's not constantly diarrhea-ing everywhere LOL....gross
I love when the big guy kicks his butt with his side of the boot when their dropping into the next floor and he won't jump lol you can see a poopie stain EW lol.

I admit, I have jumped a few times... Just anticipating it, and sometimes they're like "there's somebody there", and my heart really starts pounding as I run the hell away lol. I think MGS3 is the worst with it because sometimes, you can't really see the enemy. Especially at night.

I just got MGS Portable Ops. It's ok, but you have to read the Codec conversations and some of the cut-scenes. Some other cut-scenes do have people talking, but it's like an animated comic strip.
I'm sure it'll be worth it. It just seems like they got a little lazy with it.
