      Thumbs up Your favorite movie?

I didn't see any threads or posts exactly like this, so...

Say your favorite movies; if you're feeling like typing, say why?

Fight Club - because Edward Norton and Brad Pitt rock, and I love the ending.
Christmas Vacation - because it's just plain hilarious.
Dark Knight - Heath Ledger's character makes practically the whole movie.
Food Inc. - I don't know... I just really, really enjoyed this movie. o___o

I don't have any ' favourite ' movie, but the one I've enjoyed to most was Avatar.

The one that comes to mind right now would be 'The Fountain', but
there is no such thing as one favourite movie for me.

      Seconded.

I also think The Truman Show was amazing, which shows how good Jim Carrey can be when he wants.

      Also uhhh... Blade Runner.

      Groundhog Day.

Most Pixar films. Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up; these films were artworks.

The Princess Bride. (three different links)
It's a brilliant sarcastic parody of fair-tales and romance movies. The summary doesn't do it justice.

This. The Princess Bride is one freaking awesome movie. It keeps you interested the entire way through, the characters are likable, the plot line is at least somewhat feasible and doesn't throw you at any point, it's easy to follow, the actors and actresses are amazing, and the ending is fabulous.

Hey I just watched The Princess Bride a few days ago, it's hilarious It became one of my favorite movies. I bet this is one of those movies you can watch over and over without being bored.

To add something to the thread:
I saw Enter The Dragon from Bruce Lee yesterday and it's a pretty cool movie
Rise Of The Guardians and Wreck It Ralph are two amazing, hilarious and inspiring, full of action movies
Pulp Fiction is great and one of those movies you would watch over and over
World War Z is the craziest action movie, it has more action than 10 action movies combined!
The Mask is hilarious and obviously a classic
There's Something About Mary is very funny and has a great plot. And ofcourse, Cameron Diaz, she's about 25 years old
Snatch, you'll like it if you liked Pulp Fiction
Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, the title alone is badass. It is a lot like Snatch
Karate Kid 1/2/3, I almost forgot these. Always fun to watch

That's it for now I'm getting sleepy

      Cool

Fight Club, forever on the top of my list.
Donnie Darko because who doesn't love a good mindfuck?
Requiem For A Dream because Darren Aronofsky is a genius.
And let's add Pi to that, too.
Inception, the movie that got me into the mindfuck genre.
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind for the quirky romantic in me.

And lastly, a movie I'd recommend everyone in this forum to watch—Waking Life. I think you can tell from the title that it's got to do with something

Seriously, though. At least check out the trailer. I would post a link, but I'm not allowed to because I'm new to the forum. Anyway, Google it!
I swear it'll be worth it.

Have you seen A Scanner Darkly? It's another of Richard Linklater's. I saw it for the first time the other day. I watched Waking Life at university, when I was pretty sleep deprived. It was AWESOME. And just a little creepy.

This is the first time I've ever had to put a definitive list of films together as my favourites. And it's so damned hard I'm sure I've missed out loads.
