Thread: Dante's Inferno (Video Game)

Holy crap, that looks incredible. I really need to get around to saving up for a 360.

There is an animated epic too.

I got it on opening day. I got it based on the demo too. It's pretty insane, but there's definitely some work that could have been done.

Dante is so strong it's hard not to completely destroy all of the enemies easily. Which sounds cool, but I'd like harder or longer fights sometimes, just so I could work up my combos and really get into them.

Leveling up and purchasing new moves is somewhat confusing since it's not really explained.

The puzzles are cool for the most part, but for some of them it's not explained at all what you're supposed to do, and the camera can be distant so it's hard to see what's going on. The camera is perfect 99% of the time, though.

Also the game is short, at least so far. I'm on the fourth circle, Greed, and I've put under 5 hours into the game, and I mess around a lot. Each circle of hell takes easily under an hour on the hardest difficulty. Seriously, it's like, platforming, enemies, puzzle, enemies, boss. And that is the end of each level. Each section feels disjointed, but it's nice to break up the fighting.

There's a few minor annoyances as well, like they go overboard on those timed button presses as in Resident Evil, and the redemption of souls goes into a very strange DDR kind of thing, but the game is a lot of fun.

What's sick though is that there's going to be a co-op multiplayer downloadable segment coming out in April. One character is Dante and the other is St. Lucia, who is like a gaurdian angel figure. You will also be able to make your own challenges.

The game is definitely awesome though. I wish I had a PS3 so I could play God of War.

looks like doom3 in medieval times, gore is good blood is good, the game looks sweet on tv, i just saw the commercial...what system is it on?

I have ps3 so im assuming its not for ps3?

(why don't devs just make games for all consoles ffs like the old days)

Sucks to hear that it's so short. That's usually the main failure of great games like this. There are far too many good games that could have been so much longer. I'm sure they have the space for it. Makes you wonder why the devs don't take this into account more often.

I will say one thing though, gta4 has framerate problems when theres alot of stuff going on at once, i wish they had ported the game properly, the pc version is the best really, so many modifications being made by fans.

Even so, as long as you stick to multiplayer games with police shut off and low traffic then the framerate is MUCH smoother.

I prefer playing free mode in gta4, you can race kill and do anything and you can disable traffic and police, which makes for REALLY fun and fast racing in the street, no dumb drivers to make you crash lol.

I like free mode also. I don't mind pedestrians and traffic, though. Makes it just as tough for your enemies to maneuver, as well. Haha.

Have you noticed how slow it gets when theres 10 cops shooting and people running and screaming and stuff blowing up?

To me the framerate nearly dips to 8 fps if not worse in some cases, I wish they would fix it....but i have no faith left in rockstar games, they really half-assed this port.

I don't know if it is the same creators, but I felt some similarities between this game (the demo) and God of War. I liked it, it was good. It's just not my type of game though, I'm not going to buy it. Looks good though.

I wish I had the extra 60 bucks to get this game. I'm saving for AvP right now . I guess it would also be nice to have a couple extra hundreds to drop on a PS3 so I can play God of War 3 also lol.

having a few hundred bucks is always a good feeling, until you spend it on a 60 dollar game and suddenly it dissapears lol

Hahaha Tell me about it. I love to game but its so damn expensive lol. I dread to see the prices of the next gen consoles/games.

prob 80 bucks a pop and then 20 for DLC next gen....by then inflation will catch up and probably increase that number some more.

Haha, Yeah I was searching for one for about 2-3 months then gave up for a while. If I can't find one in the next couple months then hopefully when I graduate my brother will help me get hired at the hospital he works at. Knowing my luck however, it doesn't look too good.
