I completed it yesterday, the game is fantastic. The Mass Effect universe is fantastic.

I loved this game, but I actually like the first one more. The characters and storyline I found were more gripping. The conversations with Wrex were one of my favorite parts in the first one. He was just so frigging tough but depressed about the state of his species. I really liked seeing him in the second one. Don't get me wrong the second on was still great. I'm quite proud to have Bioware's head offices about 45 minutes from where I live.

I got it a few days ago when it came out, its pretty damn good so far. I just got the tech lab opened up on my ship, so I'm not too far into it yet, but it's really immersive.

yeah i completed it a few days ago. Did it on normal and chose infiltrator so i could have the cloak. I never played ME1 but I really liked this game, it felt like an interactive movie more than a game which is cool. The graphics were really top notch and the game feels kinda addictive. I didn't do all the side quests, only made 3 of my team members loyal
      Spoiler for last mission:
. I liked using Jack and Miranda because warp + overload + shockwave totally owns. Garrus has some pretty cool biotic powers too. Throw and Pull were pretty lame powers though.

Only ended up about 15 or 16 hours total gameplay for me, im considering replaying it from the beginning but this time with my current level/upgrades. BTW, anyone know which planets/systems have element zero? i couldn't find any, and the only element zero i found was whilst playing a mission.

looking forward to this game, played the first a couple umoteen times when it first came out, played EVERY possible story line and on each difficulty. This series seems like a very realistic look into a sci-fi world.

What are you talking about lame, anybody knows the best way to handle someone is to have a vanguard and lift three to four enemies in the air, throw the (off any edges if possible) and then finish the survivors of the falls with some serious fire power lol.

Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."

I would much prefer to use the other powers they seem more aggresive. Push and pull reminds me of star wars, and in that game you would only really use them to overcome obstacles, it was always better to use powers like lightning, rage and drain to kill enemies.

      Some spoilers ahead

It was a great cinematic experience, just like ME1. And I really liked the way you get to know all your team members. Their background stories etc. I really hope they continue building on that in ME3. I was however pretty dissapointed with the way Shepards old buddies reacted when they found out he's alive (Tali, Garrus etc.). It was pretty lame. I mean these characters went through alot together in ME1. Show some friggin' emotion! And I also felt they were pretty lazy with the main story. But I'll forgive them since it's a trilogy. And I do atleast think they developed the Tali character very well here. I didn't care all that much for her in ME1, but she really grew on me in this game. Gonna have to romance her up with my next Shepard.

Anyway, something else I was annoyed with was how consolified and dumbed down the game felt. Seriously, the same key for run, hide, open doors and "use"? And no keybindings for journal and things like that... On the XB 360 it's understandable, but on the PC? There are alot of keys on a keyboard. And I felt they oversimplied alot of aspects a bit too much. I want my inventory back. I want more customization options. I want my phat loot back! I want this game to have more RPG elements. I guess that's just what i've come to expect from BioWare. And I also hear you can't even "hide" the helmet on the DLC armors.. I didn't spend 30 minutes perfecting my sexy shepard only to have him hide his head in a bucket

And don't get me started on the minigames... My god they're annoying. Yeah, driving around on empy planets with the mako got pretty boring after a while in ME1, but did they seriously think this planet scanning shit was going to be more interesting? And the hacking and bypassing only detracts you from the action/immersion.

There's alot of other stuff I was less than pleased with, but still the overall experience was a good one. I love the Mass Effect universe and this game has such a fantastic atmosphere that it really is a fantastic game despite its shortcomings.
