      Beautiful seems an overused and anaemic word in this regard.
      You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

      It was pretty clearly not "full CG," but relied thematically and technically on presenting real images which were then manipulated to fantastic effect, as if to ask the question, "Is it more fantastic now?" when comparing the impossible to the real. While there's a strong art school flavor to the selection of subjects (many of which were no doubt images of an actual art school), there's also talent and a degree of genuine wonder in the execution.

      The designer claimed that only a few elements were non-CG. The cameraman, a plane at one point, the flowers blooming for a few seconds and parts of the sky. Took a year to make.
      You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

      It's hard to believe that, for instance, the chairs or the marble steps were not based substantially on real footage. If he created those images in any sense "from scratch," I'm really impressed.
