...Although now it's become a major cliche of the fan fiction community. Almost every 12 year old fangirl writes themselves into their fics as a character with "one violet eye and one baby blue eye, both with a splash of some indescribable color in the middle...". I'm sick of it. But not as much as the fact that everyone and their brother wants to name their OCs "Riku" for some damn reason. Anyone know WTF's with that?

i would guess that it may suggest some sort of unique aspect and possibly indicate some sort of special ability, this happens throughout all art forms with different variations of eyes different to everyone else. (READ: daredevil, vampires, elektra's 'stick' etc) as for "riku", i have no idea.
