Oh I'll have to join it then and check it out

I used to play a number of steam games but my account got banned. Why? I still do not know.

No. I actually prefer to buy the disks. Although you can't play them unless you register them to steam.

Go buy the Orange Box for PC. It contains:

Team Fortress 2
Half Life 2 (EPIC)
Half Life 2 - Episode One (Short, but EPIC)
Half Life 2 - Episode 2 (EPIC)
Portal (Short, but EPIC)

Four EPIC games, one relaxing team deathmatch kind of game.


All on steam.


The great thing about steam is that it has a community, with built in IM and friends machines. Even an overlay so you can look at it while you're dead. It's almost like an internet browser, restricted to steam stuff. If you put another address in the bar you actually have an internet browser inside games!

And if you ever lose your disk, or your disk and your whole computer, you can just double click it in your games list, and it will install it from steam.

Oh, forgot to mention. Those five great games in one, is like $30... If you bought the games individually you'd run up..

Buy a game. You'll get full privelages. I believe you must either buy a game or buy an account.

But why do that when you get an account free with a game?

Did you activate your account through your email?

yes i did do that but it still says that i dont have the privlages to use the forums

And yes, go buy a game from Steam and you'll be fine. Either buy the game directly on Steam, or a Steampowered game from any electronics store that sells video games.

Also, as mentioned, Orange Box is an amazing deal for a bunch of amazing games.
