      Yep. I know Coronation Street in the UK has been going since 1960. Still going strong.

      Even so, The Simpsons has generally been infinitely better than Coronation Street, and even though I don't much care for it these days, it has produced some of the best television of all time.

      Not for me, Family Guy is awesome, but Homer Simpson is the best male tv character of all time, only rivaled by George Costanza and Barney Fife.
